In recent year USMLE candidates have increased exponentially, this incidence might decrease for few month or year but I think it might resume its tempo after wards.

According to Malaysia center they are trying to call each and everyone who had exam dates tomorrow, day after tomorrow or close to this week or month regarding inconvenience.

Final ECFMG verdict will be made public somewhere today night or tomorrow. They might officially announce the closure of Nepal center and whether Nepali will be allowed to sit in the Indian center or not.

Most of the Nepali doctor who are preparing for USMLE are wishing to allow them in India because of short distance and convenient.

Other nearest options are Bangladesh, Pakistan and Hong Kong.

The biggest rumor behind the closure of the Nepal Center is most of the Nepali have score very high in the USMLE exams and it is also said that ECMFG official visited Nepal center for any fraudulence. After their visit they decided to close the center. However final ECFG verdict has yet to be made public.

Most of the people do have great tension during the last week of preparation; this action will definitely give them a SHOCK. Most of the candidate who have filled the form are wishing to get their money back.

xenoMED is working constantly to update this news. Keep visiting us.

Hi angel,
It is sad to learn that they withdrew the usmle testing center from nepal. I think the worsening political situation can be the reason behind. We all concerned should write to the ECFMG and request for the re-establishment of the center and the concern medical students and resident doctors unions and NMA should also give pressure to the US embassy in Kathmandu. I think this is a serious set back and a discouraging news to the enthusiastic medical students and doctors of Nepal. I think this news should also get enough media attention and adequate coverage.

hi angel and rest of the frns,
Was shocked to hear this,is COMPLACENCY OF THE PROCTORS the reason behind the withdrawal.I have also heard that since they could not cope up with this rising number of USMLE examinees they closed the centre but whatever it is its just AWFUL.The marks that we get in nepal and India are really very good compared to other applicants here but u know its not because of some fraudulence but its because we leave our jobs and sit down at home and study for months or may be WE ARE JUST BRILLIANT(who knows?).Whatever it is we need an EXPLANATION and more than that we need to know what future holds for us.I agree with dr chakra THIS THING NEEDS MEDIA COVERAGE,media can do wonders these days.If not anything we can hope that a journalist can knock on the doors of the chief of the exam centre and ask her whats really the prob. and take the truth out.
I hope everything becomes fine and that too soon, hope to hear on this site that the centre is opening soon.My best wishes for that, and also best of luck for angel's new venture(this site)....

Dear Dr. Chakra Dai and Dr. Pravesh Dai,

Thank you very much for you concern for the futur of young medical graduate over USMLE.

We still unsure whether they will reopen the center or not many rumors are goin going on. Many have sent mail to NBME & ECFMG, haven't heard yet, neither ECFMG official site has publish any notice regarding this closure. This type of behaviour shows that it wasn't pre-planned.

Please keep udating us about the ongoing news, rules and regulation and rumor from USA regarding USMLE.

I am very gald to see you in the xenoMED. I do hope your experience will help us a lot.

With best regards

Angel
