High scores in USMLE by Nepalese Doctors:A Discussion !!! - 17-03-2007, 01:26 PM

Dear friends,
There is one very unusual but nice discussion is going in the USMLE forum initiated by one Non-Nepalese but IMG doctor. The user has used the ID = #frustrateddoc
posted on : 03/14/07 23:45

The topic tagged is :
<< < * Matching & Residency * > >>

* For all Aspirants..Take Action...Nepalese...Cheats

His/her posting is:
Quote:
Hi,
I am fortunate enough to get a match position.
BUT I would like to take this moment to make all of the Match Aspirants, that we all have been cheated by few (may be more) countries' candidates.
I know Nepalese for sure.....Iam sure all those who went for interviews at any place must have met many Nepalese...and did you ever wonder how they all had scores in 99, 99 99????I was amazed that after slogging hours of hard work I could barely cross 90..and yet all of the Nepalese had 99.
Did anyone take note of it???
DO you guys know that this same thing happened to Lebanese and Syrians couple years ago and they all had 99....
Its time we all take collective action and make the authorities aware of what is happening.
I am not blaming any one....not Nepalese in particular...but I am just wondering how come suddenly all the Nepalese have turned so brilliant that they are beating hands off all the AIIMS, MAMC, Karachi...Dow Medical, Fatima etc...so easily.
With all that I have gained...so far....these guys have got some papers leaked to themselves and are taking seats all over.
Just look at any prematch or match stats..and you'll see for yourself what I am talking about.
Its time that we all take action and make the deserving candidates get the residencies rather than all the crooks.
The discussion goes very long and with many users replying. See the link:

Question Re: haha - 18-03-2007, 11:27 PM

people, i took my time to read all the posts in the link posted...an i just couldnot stop laughing...it looked like a candy fight!!! at first..i was getting pissed but after reading everything...i felt like ...why? why waste my energy and my internet time on a topic so ...i don't know how to classify it!!!???!!
well for us Nepalese medical doctors/students...lets take it as a challenge and channel our positive energy to more violently defy this "frustrated docs" accusations!!! Lets work harder but not fail to enjoy what this beautiful life has to offer...and let me take this oppurtunity to CONGRATULATE all those who got pre-matched or matched this year and wish them good luck! For those who didnot....better luck next time and grounds for improvement in whatever aspects. For those who didnot match...you should check out the ecfmg website..they have this new website...findaresident...that help for people who werenot matched..check it out!
....olryt...guys..wish me luck as i am participating in the 2008 match...!!!

Great!
doc evil, you have taken the message in a way that must be taken up. You are right, we must look ahead. In fact the post has made us better realization of our capacity and future ahead. We must invest our energy for the productive and positive things.
Absolutely, this is a candy fight!!! Impulses have worked out there and adrenaline rush??? Anyway, that's something better for us to be cautious and realize ourselves. My intention to post the topic here is never rekindle the quarrel and flare up the candy fight but to let our esteemed friends to pause and ponder about the future ahead. Hopefully this will make our friends further mature, careful and smart.
I'm really happy that people like "doc evil" have come up and responded in such a wise manner. I wish my cordial "BEST OF LUCK FOR THE 2008 MATCH TO DOC EVIL!!!".
And thank you for the information
