Dear All,

Here is a sample application form for those who want to change the test centre to India.

I have attached a word document which has the following format. Please fill the appropriate information in the shadow words. Those shadow words will not be seen in the print out papers.

For your convenient please, download a word document "ECFMG_test_center_change.doc" form the attachment.

Respected Madam,
I am [Your Name] from Kathmandu, Nepal. I had applied on [Applicatoin Date] for USMLE [Step I or Step II Ck], Asia as testing center, for [your Eligibility period]. My application was processed by ECFMG and it was accepted. Now I have the scheduling permit with me. I was planning to give the exam from Kathmandu testing center, but I came to know that the examination center has been shut down. After that I had a talk with the prometric center, in Malaysia, and they told me to give the exam from Bangladesh or Pakistan or Singapore. The above mentioned places or testing centre are far and inconvenient for me. Due to this reason, I haven’t been able to fix my date till now for the exam in the available centre allowed for candidates from Nepal. India being the closest centre from my location I would kindly request you to relocate my examination centre from Asia centre to India centre. I have provided my details:

Dear friends,

I would like to inform u all that i had requested to ecfmg to change my test taking centre to India and everything got processed within 8 days and i have fixed my date in Delhi.Actually i faxed them as said in the website and everything happened so fast.So you can also try.

P.S .I had given America's address itself,so my friend took the date for me.You can do the same.

It does work, most of the candidates have changed their center to India. Just send a fax and you will receive a Email from ECFMG representative.

For the time being it is better to have a center in India rather than going to Bangladesh or Pakistan.

From our latest source, Bangladesh is far far better than going to Pakistan for many reasons. Ofcourse other options are there.
