This Chapter Deals with Zhang And Fu Viscera and also with extraordinary organs. this concept understanding is very important in TCM.
while the things to be kept in mind is:-
Zang-and-fu-viscera in traditional Chinese medicine are considered not only anatomical units, but also conceptually are a part of the body' s physiology and pathology.
Therefore though the modern name for the organ: heart, lung, spleen, liver, kidney, are utilized in TCM today. However, the explanations of their physiological functions are widely different from those of modern medicine.

During Studying this Chapter some times you may be confused but here content is made as easy as possible. if you have any question you may ask here.
enjoy

well this chapter deals with six Fu and Triple Jiao. let me give some brifing about it before reading this chapter.
Six fu :-The six fu contains the gallblander, the stomach, the large intestine, the small intestine, the urinary bladder and the triple jiao.their common characteristic is excretion without storage, that is to say,to digest and transmit water and food and to discharge the waste.since the six fu has to be emtpy to perform transporting and transforming food function well, the moving styles of qi of six fu should be downward and unobstructed.
The Triple-Jiao:- The term “triple jiao” is a peculiar phrase in the visceral manifestation theory of TCM. It collectively refers to the upper- jiao, middle- jiao, and lower- jiao, and is one of the six fu-viscera.its meridian connects with the pericardium, with which it is externally-internally related.

ok enjoy the Chapter

In TCM Heart belong to Five zang-viscera along with:- lung, spleen. liver and kidney.
Although they have their own respective physiological functions, the heart plays a leading role.
The interdepending,inter-restraining and inter-harmonizing of the physiological functions of these viscera, are expounded through the yin-yang and five element theories.

This Chapter is About Liver.
As in the Western medicine in chinese medicine also The liver is situated in the right hypochondriac region. Its meridian connects with the gallbladder with which it is internally-externally related.
Its physiological function are:-
dominating the conducting and dispersing,
storing the blood,
relating to emotional activities,
promoting the digestion function,
and regulating the normal circulation of the qi blood and water.

I think content in slides are self explaining so please go through it your self

This chapter is about lungs.
As we know that The lung is located in the thorax and connects with the trachea while opening into the nose. It communicates directly with the_outside world through the lung system.
In TCM It occupies the uppermost position among the viscera and is known as "florid canopy" ,of which its original meaning denotes the delicate umbrella shape for carriage of ancient emperors. here, the lung is a main organ controlling respiration and gas exchange.
In TCM The lung is known as "florid canopy", communicating directly with the outside world. The lung is one of the five zang-viscera, pertaining to the interior. It, however, differs from the four zang-viscera in that it is not only situated in The thorax cavity, occupying the topmost position among the five zang-viscera, and known as the appellation of "florid canopy"; but it also communicates with the natural world through the throat and nose. Wind, cold, dryness, heat evils in the natural world, especially warm-heat evil-qi, mostly attack the lung via the mouth and nose. This leads to the pathological changes and failure of lung-qi and defense-qi in dispersion as well as the dysfunction of opening of the lung.

Some things might be hard for you to understand in TCM if you are not taught by a teacher having good knowledge in it, but if you go through it again and again or you could catch it's principle it would be much easier.....hope it wont be boring.. enjoy

This chapter is about Spleen and it's function.
In TCM The spleen is one of the main organs in the digestive system, and is located in the middle- jiao underneath the diaphragm. Its meridians connect with the stomach, the two organs are internally-externally related.
In TCM Physiological Function of the Spleen are:-
1) Dominating Transportation and Transformation
2) In Charge of "Sending up"
3) Commanding the Blood
And The Relationship of the Spleen to other Organs are:-
1) Controlling the Muscles and Limbs
2) opening into the Mouth, and Manifestation on the Lips
While reading this chapter or before also you might have encountered the term "the Plain Questions" many times , it is actually 1st well described book of TCM and is considered as Great Contributor in development of TCM.
