Re: Thanks to all!!!!! - 18-06-2007, 03:07 AM

Thanx all once again.

Well I have very few tips only. Basically, I didnt follow any specific study technique. I studied as usual.

I found Kaplan lecture note series plus lecture videos to be more than sufficient. Only 2 or 3 questions were out of the books i followed. I did kaplan qbook n qbank that i downloaded from the links in this forum. There is nothing much to say about the preparation, except that dont go for many unyielding books. Try to confine urself in one or at most 2 books per subject. Practice questions as much as possible. and take kaplan's simulated test. It really helps you to know about ur preparation.

During exam, i managed to finish all the blocks well ahead of time. I didnt give much time to those questions which i thot i wont know the answers no matter how much time i spent. It seems time management is very important during exam. If u waste ur considerable time in one question u'll lose other questions which u may be able to solve. So remember DONT WASTE TIME !!!! choose one and move ahead as FA has told.. I forgot to tell u.. FA is very very helpful. Extremely helpful especially in the later part of ur preparation when u wont have to time to revise whole kaplan series..

Actual exam thing was much easier than those simulated exams. There were all sorts of mixed questions with more emphasis on pathophysiology part. Few microscopic slides were there. One of them i cudnt make it out at all, others were much easier to identify with CV given along wit it. Biostats were pretty much straight forward. Behavioural science was as usual with what will u do next or what will tell to the patient/father sort of things.

One last thing is during exam RELAX and DONT PANIC. There will be few questions which u wud hav never heard of. so be prepared for those questions, leave them and go on to other questions which u can do.

Well, this is my short advice/tip/tricks/experience.. whatever u say..

Thank you all once again. and may god bless you..
