Postgrduate MD/MS degree program in Nepal

On the basis of Entrance Examination held on 27 April 2008 and subsequent interview the following candidates have been selected for admission in the PG program as per the attached list and must take admission by 11 May 2008.

For admission each candidate has to:

1. Submit duly filled forms provided by the University along with necessary documents.

2. Obtain the letter of admission, Curriculum/Log Book from Dean's office, School of Medical Sciences, Dhulikhel Hospital, Dhulikhel.

3. The candidates must:

a. Deposit an amount of NRs.2,11,000/- at Nepal Investment Bank Ltd., in the Saving Account No. 005 8261140 and submit the bank deposit receipt at the Dean's office, School of Medical Sciences, Dhulikhel Hospital, Dhulikhel.

b. Pay the first year fee NRs.2,75,000/- Clinical Sciences Subjects (including Pathology but excluding Forensic Medicine) and NRs. 1,75,000/- for Basic Sciences Subjects (including Forensic Medicine but excluding Pathology) to the concerned institution [Manipal Collage of Medical College (MCOMS, Pokhara) or College of Medical Sciences (COMS, Bharatpur) or Nepalgunj Medical College (NGMC, Nepalgunj or Kathmandu Medical College (KMC, Kathmandu)] on or before May 15, 2008 and subsequent fees by May 15 of each academic year.

c. The payment of fees will be strictly according to the University rules.

d. Report by 15 May, 2008 at the concerned institutions.

a. Deposit an amount of NRs.93,000/- at Nepal Investment Bank Ltd., in the Saving Account No. 005 8261140 and submit the bank deposit receipt at the Dean's office, School of Medical Sciences, Dhulikhel Hospital, Dhulikhel.

b. Pay the first year fee: NRs.6,00,000/- for MD/MS course in clinical sciences, NRs. 3,20,000 for para-clinical sciences and NRs. 4,20,000/- for MDS course to MEMG, India at the beginning of the 1st year and subsequent fees at the beginning of each academic year by Bank Draft payable to Manipal Universal Learning Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore India.

c. The payment of fees will be strictly according to the rules of the institutions.

d. Report by 15th May, 2008 to Dean PG Program, KU-MEMG, Manipal Hospital Bangalore in India

4. Candidates studying in India must have Nepal Medical Council full registration certificates. Those with temporary registration are advised to apply for permanent registration at the completion of required time.

5. Candidates in the waiting list will be informed after getting confirmation from MEMG.

6. Interested candidates who have been successful in the present entrance examination, but not eligible to register with Medical Council of India, can apply for Basic Medical Science subjects to study in India.
