Cholera leaves one dead, scores affected in Chitwan
CHITWAN, Sept 20 - At least one person died Thursday morning and over 200 people have fallen sick in Chitwan district following an outbreak of cholera in Jutpani VDC on Tuesday.
A woman in her mid-thirties died without receiving treatment Thursday morning at Jutpani VDC-3.
Over 150 in Jutpani VDC and 50 in Shaktikhor and Padampur VDCs are

receiving treatment in various hospitals in the district.
The cholera outbreak was first noticed at Sukumbasi and Kumal settlements in Jutpani on Tuesday.
One of the critically ill children has been referred to Kathmandu for better treatment.
As all beds in the Bharatpur hospital are already packed, patients could be seen lying on floor and corridors.
Local private clinics are also swamped by cholera patients. A number of medical teams have been dispatched to the affected VDCs.
