Manipal hospital staff resume work

POKHARA, July 23 - Medics at Manipal Teaching Hospital Pokhara resumed work on Monday. The hospital had been closed for four days protesting the manhandling of doctors. Chief District Officer Bhola Prasad Siwakoti said doctors and employees agreed to resume work as the administration has ensured their security.

Re: Manipal hospital staff resume work

its good news, services resume at manipal.
incidences like this are so rampant these days that issues so sensitive as these do not receive the serious attention and action that they deserve. Health institutes are supposed to be holy and highly respected areas, where there is a cordial and nice relationship among all - the doctors, patients, patient parties.

people have failed to understand that treatment of a patient is a goal to be achieved by the combined efforts of doctors, patients themselves and the patient parties. anything wrong among these factions is sure to bring disasters. but these days, personally i feel, nothing is right among them!

people seem to have become conscious of their rights but they have completely missed the point that rights and duties come together. and this is creating trouble here. if anything goes wrong with the patient, no one thinks how to make up for the mistake, everyone is just busy pointing to eachother, picking up eachothers mistakes! and patient parties, they are the hyper ones these days, they now feel that they can do anything and they arenot interested in knowing whats wrong with the patient and whats the condition of the patient, they just know they should now beat the hell out of the doctor and vandalise the hospital and squeeze some easy money from the hospitals!! thats what they do? and sometimes i feel, they have formed a gang - a local person who seems to mobilise the public into vandalising acts, a lawyer who is ever ready to drag the doctor to the court whoseever fault it may be and who is always looking to bringing out a mountain out of a mole..
and ofcourse, this has proved to be a very good business for them, they dont actually care for the patient, they dont fight for the patient, they fight for easy money they get from the hospital....
but who cares, the hospital has no way out! its better for them to give some amount to the people rather than to resist and see their infrastructure brought down to a heap of bricks and metals.... ok if not that.. something near to that!!
