MORANG, May 20 - Complaints of patients suffering from rabies has recently increased at Koshi Zonal Hospital in Biratnagar. According to the hospital, the number of rabies patients in the hospital, which was 84 till mid-April, soared to 98 recently. Shova Lama, a health worker in the hospital said that most victims were found bitten by monkeys, cats, foxes, leopards, bats and stray dogs. Lama also said that affected victims hail mostly from Biratnagar, Rangeli and Pathari of Morang, and Itahari, Pakali and Inaruwa of Sunsari districts. |  Article Tools | | |

Yes!
You can either have rabies or not have rabies. Since its 100% fatal one should not take any chance and go for antirabies treatment or follow the standard protocol for it. The case should be reported to the local authority or possibly to the Teku hospital. | | |

Everyone knows Rabies is fatal and till date only 4 cases of Rabies has survived (so may not technically say 100%)
But those were not just exceptions but miracles so cannot expect that we see fifth one.
I meant to ask if U get a case of Rabies, how would you manage?
I know the text book answer but I want someone to share their first hand experience. You don't just say 'Go to Teku' from the door of the hospital and what about if you are in some remote place (where U expect to find the most of the cases).
