Bir Hospital docs call off strike - 16-05-2007, 03:29 AM

KATHMANDU, May 11: Resident doctors at Bir Hospital called off their strike from Friday after the newly elected members of the National Academy of Medical Science (NAMS) assured them that their demands would be seriously considered.

The Minister of Health and Population Giri Raj Pokharel appointed four member's team of NAMS where Prof. Dr. Bhrama Dev Jha has been appointed as dean of the NAMS for a four-year term. The first meeting of the NAMS Senate will sit on June 4.

Why is medical field being disrupted by the political parties. It's time for doctors to join hands and say no to politics.
