SARLAHI, Apr. 7: Kalaazar epidemic has spread in Sarlahi with the rise in temperature.
Patients of Kalaazar, which is spread from sand fly, have been crowded in Sarlahi hospital these days.
Public Health Inspector of the hospital Abiram Jha says 32 patients are to be treated in the 15-bed hospital and they have to be treated by laying on the floor.
As it takes two weeks minimum to treat them in the hospital for the kalaazar, it has caused problems for new patients as they come five to six in numbers daily, he said.
Pressure of Indian nationals has increased as kalaazar treatment is free in Nepal, and there are 19 Indian patients, said the hospital source. |
