The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has urged the Constituent Assembly (CA) members to give serious attention towards the increasing spate of attacks on medical practitioners and health institutions, and towards making it dignified and systematic.
The Association has also urged the CA members to pass the Bill already registered at the CA-Legislature Parliament, so as to provide security to health workers and institutions.
At an interaction with CA members organised by the Association, the health workers made it clear that no doctor would deliberately indulge in negligence in the treatment of his/her patient and that the sectors concerned should become serious of the decreasing morale of the medical practitioners.
On the occasion, President of the Association, Dr. Chop Lal Bhusal, President of the Association of Private Health Institutions, Nepal, Dr. Bhola Rizal, General Secretary of the Association, Dr. Kedar Singh KC stressed on the need to bring the medical sector into legal parameters through the Bill, so as to resolve the problems of insecurity and mismanagement of the sector. - Source | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
