Two die, over seventy fall sick after deadly dinner

GORKHA, Jan 15 - Two persons died and over seventy others have been left ill Thursday after they consumed food at a party at Borlang VDC in Gorkha district.Tul Bahadur Shrestha and Hira Shreshta, who became sick yesterday, died this morning.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police at Gorkha Gita Uprety, Tul Bahadur, 50, died at Salanghat while being taken to the capital for treatment, while Hira Bahadur died on the way to Gorkha.
Ten people seriously ill are being treated in the capital.
The other patients are undergoing treatment at Gorkha hospital at the district headquarters.
The people from the Newar community of 3, 4, 5 and 9 wards of Borlang VDC had taken a meal together on Tuesday night after which they were attacked with head-aches and diarrhoea the next day.
