New cases in Pous 2064, HIV = 175, AIDS = 26, Death = 2. HIV rate is very high in Housewives than sex workers in Nepal ! ! ! HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

Urgent Vacancies of Microbiologists and Gynecologist for HIV Project in India
A large organization receiving international funding, is looking out for Senior and Junior Medical Microbiologists (M.D.) for positions of
Laboratory Program Officer (Monthly Salary Rs.60,000) and
Laboratory Technical Officer (Monthly Salary Rs.35,000)
at Delhi, India, for its HIV Project. The salary offered to the successful candidates will however, be negotiable, and be based on competency and experience.
Job Responsibilities
-Assessing and setting up ART Centers and Laboratories;
-Budgeting and handling MIS;
-Developing Standard Operating Procedures and other materials;
-Documentation;
-Managing Logistics and other organizational responsibilities;
It is also looking out for a Clinical Trainer Gynecologist in Bihar, India.(Full Time) (Monthly Salary Rs.60,000)
Candidate should be a qualified Gynecologist with teaching experience, excellent communication and training skills in English and Hindi, ability to use all available technology like OHP & power point presentation, and thorough knowledge of HIV and reproductive health issues.
