1.Place computer monitor at a 35-degree angle below your eyes. This reduces incidence of Dry Eye.



2.Have and stick to a regular bedtime and wake up schedule. Try to go to bed and get up about the same time each night and morning


3.Meals consumed at the dinner table are more likely to be healthful and contain fewer calories than meals eaten elsewhere.


4.Exercise regularly. It strengthens the heart muscle, improves blood flow, reduces high blood pressure & helps control blood sugars and body weight.


5.Although having a glass of wine or a drink once a day is good, excessive drinking can cause liver & kidney diseases & cancers.

6.Avoid having tea with or after meals. Tannic acid in tea can cut iron absorption by 50%.



7.Your body loses water while you sleep. So drink a serving of water before bed & again when you wake up


8.A cup of tea at bedtime is safe, relaxing, and often promotes restful sleep and reduces stress.

9.To prevent backache, get your sitting posture right. If you sit for long periods of time in office, use a chair with a high straight back


10.If on a diet, when you crave to eat, you should drink a glass of ice water. It will make you feel fuller & will help you get through your craving.


11.To quit smoking, start with not carrying a lighter with you. Always having to burn a light may make it harder for you to give in to the urge.


12.The best treatment for a sprain is to keep pressure off of the injured area and to alternate heat and ice on the injury.


13.To add strength to leg muscles try climbing plain old stairs. This can be done in your office or at your apartment building stairs.


14.If you can't express negative feelings like anger or sadness openly, get in a safe space & scream. Hit pillows, cry if needed to reduce stress.

15.at plenty of fruits and vegetables. Those who eat balanced meals protect themselves from colds and viruses.


16.20 minutes of daily sunshine can help prevent Vitamin D deficiency which is important to mineralise bones.

17.To maintain good health, total fat intake should be reduced to 30% or less of calories. Salt and alcohol intake also should be limited.


18.Ginger is the best herbal remedy to motion sickness. It affects the areas of the brain that control nausea & vomiting.

19.Sweet potatoes can be stress reducing because they can satisfy the urge we get for carbohydrates & sweets when we are under a great deal of stress

20.When you are reading or working on the PC or watching television, look around from time to time to offer your eyes a break.


21.For a sore throat, vinegar can ease the pain. Put a teaspoon of vinegar in a glass of water. Gargle, then swallow. Do this atleast 3 times a day.


22.The amount of Vitamin C in Amla is 4 times more than oranges and 8 times more than tomatoes.


23.A drink of lemon juice, hot water and a teaspoon of honey at the start of a day is a good remedy for colds, obesity, and constipation.

24.Women are more prone to osteoporosis when they approach menopause; this is when their bone density reduces & bone-protecting ostrogen declines.

25.Violent programmes & video games tend to increase children's aggressive tendencies towards siblings and their peer group.
