yap prashant tamang should be crowned the next indian idol. Because he has come all the way through and we all know how has he reached this place... At each and every show, he got comments for his singing.. kahile tyo vayena... kahile you vayena... but still he kept on going on with out feeling low and he has reached here.... i believe its not only the countless number of sms he is receiving but his strong determination which has actually brought him so far... and i think there should be no loooking back.. he is gonna be the next indian idol.....
Indian idol is a competition with certain rules and when u are playing according to the rules there is no question of who is good and who is bad.... who is receiving sympathy votes and who not? every person has his own charisma.... perhaps amit might have a better singing but prashant has his own style. His innocent acts......is his power which is pulling so much votes.. and we cant call them sympathy votes.. he has won those votes.... so i dont think prasant is in any way a weaker contender than amit paul....
besides once prasant becomes indian idol.. he can train himself and improve his singing... so, he can definitely be a better singer...

so i vote for prasant... he should be the next indian idol.. i appreciate him for his courage to stand against all those competitors who seems much better than him but could not intimidate him even for a single time..... i appreciate him for his determination to fight and win despite some heartbreaking comments from the judges....

So prasant! keep kool, dude! you are the next nepalindian idol...

Even Amit Paul used to be my favourite but if I have to choose between Amit & Prashant, then definitely Prashant.

I just hope Prashant becomes the next Indian idol....

Emotionally I would support Prashant. When it comes to singing Prashant lags Amit. I am glad he made it till here but if it is between these two, definitely Amit deserves to be Indain Idol.

this is really controversal. udit narayan is officially indian and officially nepali...it must be difficult for him to be on an indian show and support a nepali and be true to his form.

what about all the nepali people residing in US or UK or other countries who hold the countries' citizenship? are they less nepali. or what about the "nepali" people in sikkim and darjeeling...they aren't nepali really?

We are all talking about Indion Idol 3 but what about Nepal Tara?

Nepal Tara although I haven't watch even a single episode but I happened to read about the craz for Prashant, he is not Nepali and he is more famous than contestants in the Nepal Tara.

Is it really he is good enough or because of large amount of money behind Indian Idol? Getting large sum of money and fame everyone's dream. Who doesnt dream of becoming rich and geting big things without doing anything.

Indion Idol or be it KBC, this kind of reality show make dream come true for very fortunate people which inturns temptate audiance a lot because who wouldn't be glad to get those big amount and fame.

If it were the same in Nepal Tara we would be talking about it instead of Indian Idol.

Beside this we agree or most of the people agree that Nepal Tara is far far behind even can't reach up to the level of Indian Idol for years but think what would you do if same prize money was there in Nepal Tara. I'm sure we would be talking about it.

So, I say that its not being Nepali or any other cast we are talking about but because we are materialist. Prashant wouldn't have got that craze and fame if the prize money wouldn't have been that much.

It's really amazing news but a true one. No one knows much about this show. Approx 50% nepali citizen don't know that even Nepal is running the reality show named nepali Tara. Moreover it's a second series but still so poor show that the show is feeling unsuccessful to grab the attention of viewers. Instead people are taking about Indian idol and Darjeeling guy Prashant Tamang only. And you can guess that what an impact is left for Nepali television and shows.

Sunday and a day for Nepali Tara, Nepal’s Reality show. It’s a new day and a new time for Nepali Tara. And the reason behind this is many viewers suggested and requested to change the day and time for this show to bring a charm in this show because it used to broadcast in the same time when the Indian Idol used to be and many people couldn’t watch it with a full priority.

After all, this time more Nepali people are watching the Indian idol because this time a Nepali is also fighting the battle of music in Indian idol. Nepal’s people are supporting him crazily and most of the people think that he will surely be a next Indian Idol. He is non other than Darjeeling Guy Prashant Tamang.

So, the Indian Idol show is more better than Nepali Tara in all the context and because of collapse of time hampered the Nepali Tara, so, the time has been changed from today for Nepali Tara.

Nepali Tara will be broadcasted at after 8 pm’s NEWS today, Sunday.

Dear dissector,
You got me wrong. First thing is this man cannot be officially Indian and officially Nepali at the same time. Nepal does not allow dual citizenship, I do not know about India.

Secondly, I do not think नेपालीपन can be described or weighed in terms of नागरिकताको प्रमाणपत्र . Just analyse these two people here, Prashant Tamang, who when making a comment on the Indian Idol stage after being voted into the finals said " A Nepali has reached the finals of the Indian Idol " and Udit Narayan, who repeatedly says I was born and brought up in India and although technically I have a Nepali citizenship, I am an Indian. Whom would you say Nepali and whom would you say Indian ? Prashant Tamang, who introduces himself as a Nepali or Udit Narayan and Manisha Koirala, who have chosen to become Indians.

There are 100s of docs in different parts of the world - born and brought up in Nepal. Ask them, they will say they are Nepalese. They will say if Nepal needs them any day they will work for Nepal. They will bring back home all the knowledge they can.

Prashant is an Indian and he is not loyal to his mother country we can say just like Udit Narayan and Manisha we can compare. Both are wrong?

But, I feel we are wrong.

Why say who is Nepali and who is Indian? Why so much difference?

Udit wants to be Indian, let him be. Prashant wants to show he is Nepali, let him. We can thank him for that but why say anything to Udit? He has right to change his citizenship. Worse are those who queue up for DVs and call themselves true Nepalese. At least, Udit is not faking it.
