The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (Nasdaq and SWX: BMRN) today announced that the first patient has initiated treatment in the Phase 2 clinical study of 6R-BH4 for the treatment of symptomatic peripheral arterial disease.
