Usually in USA UK, elective is like you are doing your clinical rotation in a clinical setting other than your parent institute.
Like if you do a one month elective in the other teaching hospital than your one month is counted in your medical school as clinical posting.
As you said you don't practice such things so with the Nepal. But people can come and do the elective. Therefore if you are interested we can help you.
You will have to pay to the medical school ~25/week and you will have to manage you lodging and fooding too that means you will have to bear your all the expenses. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Pal For This Useful Post: | | | New Member | | Posts: 6 Thanks: 2

Hi Raaz, thank you for giving me input. I've tried the website but it doesnt seem to work, maybe because of my poor internet connection. but I'm interested, so if you can give me any information who to contact or if there any hostels or hotels near the college, I'll be more than happy thank you again. (but, you should know, I'm second year student in 6 year curriculum, so I might not have sufficient clinical skills) | | Senior Member | | Posts: 841 Thanks: 31

Hi catdd, as far as i know, usually students from the clinical section come here for their elective. and before you come here for your elective, you will have to talk to our administration. And we do have a place to stay at our college.
you can get more information at our website, raaz mentioned above.

I'm really interested. However at present I dont know exactly when l can come and for how long. Without knowing such details would it be alright to talk to the administration? If yes, please go ahead, I would really appreciate. | | Senior Member | | Posts: 1,380 Thanks: 106

Dear catdd,
If you are not sure about the date when you can come for the elective, you can still inquire about the elective and get informations from the administrations. You can then tell them that you will call them after you arrange the date schedule and also make sure that you inform them on time. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
