new govt regulation for fresh medical graduates - 20-01-2006, 09:43 PM

i guess many have read in news paper about a new regulation being prepared by the govt (MoE, MoH, NMC together) which makes it compulsory for FRESH medical graduates who have studied under govt scholarship or in govt medical colleges to serve for at least two years in govt institutions(in rural areas)

what use is this rule of when there is already a law which has this provision for FIVE years (provided the govt gives employement within 1 yr of graduation) in the scholarship act 2021 BS

there is another provision which requires at least 1 yr work expreience in a tertiary care hospital before applying for PG seats in certain colleges
what effect could this three yr have in the carrier of a student

moreover what is the significance of the word FRESH GRADUATES? nd why not the old ones

i believe that all of us hav responsibility towards the nation nd we sud serve the people
but 2+1 years cud be a big thing
nd i also believe that those OLD GRADUATES shud be the first to serve nd there shud be no discrimination for only the new ones

most importantly what i believe is: this new regulation is never going to be implemented as was the case with the old one. coz those in charge r the same lousy old graduates

what do u guys believe

old graduate are those who are in the chair and poking their nose.... infact this rule was there but was not implemented.

I believe that its just a time pass for them because Govt. couldn't send just 25 doctor in the necessary district for which they are paying 25,000 NRS.

Because of this reason they are doing this, this rule will not work properly if Govt. doesn't come with strong and firm decision.

you are right pal,
here in Ilam District Hospital, only one doctor is here though the sanctioned posts are three. Others are vacant.
It is 25bed hospital and has catchment area of Panchthar, Taplejung and Ilam itself.
But only one doctor, the great doctor: Dr Tara Pokhrel who has been much revered, much knowledgeable and working out here.
The some lazibones

are there to give "Bhasans".
There are some like Dr Tara who are working there.
There is no incentive or prize who work nor punishment for those who don't. Then who would bother.
that is it.

best wishes,

ok lets think. and think hard. we talk bout the implementation of rules and how every one sud be reponsible towards the country. its gud obviously to b aware of ones country and its need of its youth take care of it. but lets frankly put forward our views, how many of us wud want those jobs?? how many of us are willing to sacrifice as said above 3 yers to those places?? besides the pay i guess the other reason is tht we wudn't b exposed tht much.. or we may lack in experience there.. well i don't no really bcoz i m a novice here, naive to medicine rite now.. so. i mean like us those lazi old guys r humans.. well the only diff is i think, tht they r older and can make those laws.
besides i mean think bout the numerous laws in nepal tht ain't implimented...!!
