RMC-TH, New Medical College in Kapan, Kathmandu - 28-12-2005, 07:59 AM

New Medical College has shown its existance with the name Royal Medical College Teaching Hospital, (Service to Human Suffering) in Kathmandu Nepal.

Contact Addrss:
P.O. Box 3874, Kapan -3, Kathmandu, Nepal
Ph. 4810500, 4810761 Fax 4810781
Email: rmcth@wlink.com.np, info@rmc.edu.np
Web: www.rmc.edu.np

According to the source many new medical College are going to establish in many part of Nepal. I don't know how authentic is this but another medical College "Everest Medical College" is also going to open in Bhaisipati.

I think its high time to make a minimum level of standard for all the medical College for the quality control.

It is also good that many will get job and the health services.

Mahendra Nagar Medical College, Mahendra Nagar and Noble Academy of Medical Science, Biratnagar has already started their service.

More purpose site for Medical Colleges are Dang, Birgunj and even Kathmandu for many Like I said already Everst Medical College another one is Patan Hospital - rumor is going on that soon it will be converted to a Medical College that too as an autonomous body.

I think now Nepal Medical Council has got more work to do.

yes this is serious issue to be thought on by Nepal medical council, concerning the medical college that is thought to be mushrooming in near future.we must go for quality not for quantity. medical education is not like " pan shop" where ever u wish, who ever u wish, go on opening college. so quality and standard needs to me maintained.

In my opinion opening of new colleges are necessary for us because much more money are going yearly outside the country and it is very bad for our national economy. However quality control is must for the betterment. ok.

It is said that the marketplace doesn't determine how many doctors the nation need, as it does for engineers, pilots and other professions. The number of doctors is a political decision, heavily influenced by doctors themselves. In many cases they show the statistics "doctors per person" and recommend the authority to produce more and more doctors. This is one of the statistics usually comes in front for medical business, but obviously things lead to the situation that more and more doctors will be taking care of fewer and fewer patients centered somewhere in accessible zones.Number is not a problem again, just poor distribution is the issue. On this issue, it's wrong to think that we can produce more doctors and have them trickle down to where they are needed.Centering on this fact, for me, spending money to produce more and more doctors is a foolish way to spend money. It can be spent in some other business which can tackle the country's health related problems in another way.

some how i don't agree with your point ...most of the private medical colleges of nepal are established by indian businessman,so don't u think that they will carry away all those money to their account rather than investing that on some useful work.
to study in Nepal one must have to pay minimum 7 lakhs donation .and in total around 20 lakhs .and i'm 100% sure that the quality will get affected if there will be more and more colleges day by day ...

IN OUR COUNTRY there are very few people who use to do initiative work ..many of will just follow if they thinks that there is some money on that business ...this is applied in all types of business from micro bus ,safa tampoo to medical colleges .
opening a medical college in nepal is very good job ..take loan from bank ,hire a building then take liscense ....for hospital they will open it only for name because they know that students will rush towards govt. hospitals in their internship period.
thesedays due to huge donatuion and tuition fee , medical colleges are mushrooming in our country day by day ...
