But here I want to ask that if we have to get USMLE even after studying at the university of Antigua or Kasturba, then what's really the difference studying there and here in US? After all we all have to take USMLE.
Actually AUA/KMCIC students both track back into the US whther they began in Manipal or Antigua: Basic Sciences are offered at either campus with Clinicals and USMLE Steps 1 & 2 back in the US.

Almost all of AUA's students are from the US. The rest would be a combination of Canadians and a few from other random countries. Unfortunately the best way to contact current students is still in online forums. We do have Info Seminars periodically where a few of our Clinical students come and speak. Or you could try to reach our main contact for Alumni (Bob) at the NY office: 888-282-8633.

Hello Maggie,

At Manipal University, you won't just attend, you'll also belong. The campus is a community always buzzing with activity. It is a thriving and friendly environment where you'll make friends, get involved, and have fun. The Campuses form a congenial atmosphere and the crowd at Manipal consists of students from over 30 countries create lifelong friendships.

Living expenses (food and other) in India are about USD 100-150 a month.

To learn more about Manipal University, you can check out these references: Wikipedia, Outlook India, India Today Group, Wikimapia.

Thanks
Rashi

Maggie,

When are you beginning in 2008? This week? Registraion began today in Manipal.

Living expenses in Manipal are pretty low when compared to the US. I have heard students say they need only $2,000-3,000 per year. That would depend on lifestyle of course. How much you want to eat in the Mess versus going to restaurants.

Hope this helps.
