Can anyone tell me when the NAMS exams for PG entrance is going to be held. I heard rumours starting from 1st week of Jestha to last week, but Jestha is almost over and there is no notice also.

I have been asking this for the past few weeks and I guess no one really has the slightest idea of when the entrance exams are going to be held. But more than that, a feeling has been going on my mind. Are we wasting our time writing our comments and queries on this xenoMED ? It would have been better if xenoMED has some kind of mechanism that our queries and comments are forwarded to the concerned authorities and we get the correct information.

We comment about the different news. We write down our honest sugestions to Ministry of Health / Department of Health Services / Nepal Medical Council and so forth. But are our suggestions read by them, or do they even know that something called xenoMED exists (I wonder if the people there even know if a thing called Internet exists in this world !!!) I find that most of our queries are answered by someone amongst ourselves by just some guess work.

Anyways, this is how Nepal has been running and so is xenoMED.

Hey fren, i rang them up at Bir hospital and according to them, the academic section's meeting has not been called, so, any thing about the post graduate entrance examinations, NAMS have not been finalised yet.

According to them, we can hope things would be finalised by the first week of Asad. After the meeting of the academic section, the division of the quotas for different faculties and all other things related to entrance examination would be finalised and the notice will appear in the national daily - Gorakhapatra and the kantipur.. 15-20 days ahead of the entrance examination date.

They told me to ring them up at around 4th -5th of asad, by then probably things should be fixed. So, here are the numbers :

Bir Hospital NAMS
4221988
4222865
4221119
4223807
so, anyone concerned can help themselves.
Wish everybody all the best!

Hey fren, truly if we could get our message to reach the authority, that would be great. And we can do that as well.. those who can reach and can contact the authority can help others... and i think thats how our community should run..

But still, even if we could not reach the authority, don't you think sharing our queries and views even among ourselves is also a good thing in itself, even if nothing, we can always hear eachother, and as is said, something is better than nothing, haina sathi!

Very true suvas...

Maybe the younger generation of this country can bring about radical changes. What I feel is it's high time the younger generation in the society come up and displace the older generation. In a technical and professional field like medical sciences, the so called 'people's leaders' should not be guiding. Look at the chaos everywhere... it's time for change !!!

Right. There are so few who actually participate in discussion here.

The 'new thread' is always full of 'Hello' and 'Introduction' and 'welcome to xenomed'. Hope Xenomeds makes separate section for the introduction' and they do not show up in 'new thread'.

I find Angel's posts strange. He keeps on posting so many medical news and so many things but I am sure no one of us ever looks at them. The 'View' is always 1. He has a lot of patience. But, I really wonder about the intention.
