Career in Medicine - 08-02-2006, 10:41 AM

Medical Profession:
This is quite known worldwide that the health workers are highly respected in public circle. This is very sensitive profession because it is directly related to the pains of the individual, family and the society. That is why there is respect as well as expectations. There is job, prestige, money and public figure in clinical career from the public view. This is not surprising because every person that consults doctor shares the innermost thing that he/she never ever shares with anybody. That is the most trusted part and has equally high expectation from the doctor. This shows the pressure and burden a doctor is with. The doctor should always keep it in his/her mind even if he/she is in deep sleep. The family member doctor is taken as pride. The whole clan feels pride on his clinical pursue. The public observes and takes the doctor as a role model citizen. Therefore the private life of a doctor is constantly in scrutiny.

As a medical aspirant
If you ask the kid studying in the primary school about his future plan/pursue, he/she will invariably tell that it is Doctor. Every year there is interview of almost all the top ten students of SLC Board saying that their aim is to become doctor. It is quite easy to tell and cherish for medical profession until you enter into the floor of competition i.e. take I.Sc exam and start preparing for the entrance exam.
