Scholarship Granted............ - 09-10-2007, 08:48 AM

Being consistent with the KUMS motto of Technically Competent and Socially Responsible medical Graduates, the students of 5th batch , MBBS programme undertook a scholarship programme in Dev Bhumi Baluwa VDC of Kavre. The scholarship endeavour was a part of the Community Intervention Programme. All 45 students of 5th batch provided full scholarship to 14 school dropouts from various wards at Ajad Higher Secondary School located at ward 5 and Mahankal Secondary School located at ward 8.
The scholarship scheme includes full funding including admission fees, examination fees, uniform, books and copies including regular fees. 11 primary level and 3 secondary level students were provided the full scholarship till class 10. The fund for scholarship is entirely from students’ own pocket. Each student is contributing Rs 400 per year for the noble cause.
For the Community Intervention Programme: Anti malaria programme, Bio Gas Implant, SUDHARIYEKO CHULO, Sanitation and Personal Hygiene, Contraception and Deworming and water purification project were carried out.

hey great job! congrats! we are proud to have juniors n kumsians like you guys . community visits done every year should not be limited to academic purpose only . we should be able to understand the problems of people of that community and try to help them . previously also during our visit ( 3rd batch) to chittapol vdc we collected funds among ourselves and helped two children to undergo heart surgery for VSD which we detected during our visit , at SGNHC . we are thankful to those all who helped then to make that possible . I am really overjoyed to hear that our dear juniors are continuing the good job .

ambition is contagious

Great work!!!

If your juniors too participate in this program then definitely this great work can be continued for a long time. So make an environment where both juniors, seniors can work together & then definitely this program won't be stopped in the future too even if you all have passed out from this college.

Guys like you come up with such great deeds and that is great, really. But your next preferance should be the continuity of it. Keep it up.
