I completely agree...

a doctor is only as good as the books that he reads and the patient that he examines...

but as Raaz dai said I think our actions gotta be more direct if we want any change to occur...

For those of u who have not already heard abt it, someone stole students' stuff from their bags from right outside the clinical library. It included mobile phones and purses with cash, I'm told. The thief managed to rummage into more than 3 to 4 bags and was able to escape in broad daylight as these students were studying inside the library. Thankfully, my bag was not searched. The staff at the library say that it's one of the students from the college but I doubt it because only purses and cells are missing and the books are not touched. Plus all the bags that were searched were ladies bags. So, that tells us that the thief was looking for easy money and that he had sound knowledge about the vulnerability of the bags outside our library.

I have also heard of such thefts (from the bags) in the wards and in the dressing room of OT.

We did talk to the principal about the issue immediately after the incident with our seniors in the library, but I wish u would also bring it up if u r going to talk about newer books in the library.

Until then, just make sure u don't leave any expensive stuffs in your bags... coz that'd just provoke more thefts.

That is really sad to hear but what I say is why leave valuable stuffs in unsafe places. Wallets and cell phones are meant to stay with you. Thiefs are everywhere and you can never predict one but being careful is upto you. I actually think its due to the carelessness of the students too. Ask the college to get a guard in such vulnerable places though. That can be an option.

I came to know about it the very next day. Actually we have very high chances of things being stolen at that place. We have records of helmets being stolen and also books. This time I guess the thief found more easier means. Small cell phones and wallets are easier to be carried away and very less chances of being caught on the way out that bigger helmets and books.

As Gazzette said, it is the foolishness of the students to leave the valuables there. And there is nothing the administration can do. Its you who has to be careful. Even if he keeps guard there, he can't keep them at the OT changing room, wards etc. We have to take care of the safety of our stuffs ourselves. It is how it works everywhere.

About the library complains and all, I guess as usual even you guys got cold off. Comeon, I expected something from you guys. If you had initiated, though small in number but I had people in my batch who would support you. But well, in the same way as I had been unable to get the move ahead, you guys also have stopped.
