It is better to book in advance for your order, cuz books come n go in a flash there... n if u have booked the books, then u get it without hassel.

Thanks for this useful information for the juniors.
I just wanted to say that it has been learn from the past experience that Book Shop increase the cost on the price tag and give more discount and we think that we got more discount without botheringr how much it cost in other book shops.
Therefore I just wanted to say that before buying book please make sure that you know the discount price at other book shops too. If it is for Nepal atleast check other reputed book shop like National, Ekta, Makalu etc.
And ask why they are not giving that much amount of discount either AK is trying to promote his shop or want to empty his stock in either condition that doesn't affect us but if AK is increasing cost in the price tag and giving more discount then.... guys its time to be seious.
I have no competing interest with AK, its just my opinion, I am sorry if it hurt the sentiment. Because if AK is giving books in less prize than the current prize in the market despite of discount then AK is great.
I agree with you Pal. From my experience and informations, the price in which we get books in A.K after their so called HEAVY DISCOUNT is the same as the price in which we get books in MAKALU, NATIONAL and other reputed stores. Its all business policy. Noone would work in loss. I have bought books from both Makalu and A.K and came to learn about this policy of theirs.
I am also watching keenly for the same thing... One must have to check other shops too b4 buying books from a single shop blindly. Well in my context, I was lucky, that I got much discount than other shops, I checked as many as 7 big shops (but not national, truly speaking), then i thought it was a good bargain at AK... Well, I am not promoting them, but I was impressed by the discount and asked if they would give the same to other KMC'iams, and got a positive reply. Well, it's for our (students') benefit.
But do check other shops b4 going to AK.
If there's a something such as they have increased, i might want to delete this thread or start discussion abt a better shop in town...
that is great dude i know i know you are not promoting, the discussion is to think the other way round we all are appreciating your hard work for informing usful stufs for good reason.
even i thought the same was as pal and raaz dai thought when i was about to buy the books.
i bought baily and love in 25% discount and i paid NRs. 3132 from original price 4176 fron AK. then i asked national book store they said they can only give me 12% discount from the same original prize NRs 4176.
i don't know there may the possibilities as pal and raaz dai are thinking in other books and its always good to crosscheck the prize in other book stores.
