It depends upon what kind of person you are if you love to help people around you then there are lots of way you can do. If you love music listen all the day, if you love to sing don't sing in the bathroom only come out of it so there are plenty of things one can sharp his/her tallent so, you can help through various channels: Online: help xenoMED to expand further by adding more medical links to the Medical Sites showing various activities at Gallery helping people who need help in Forums and lot more you can suggest xenoMED how it can help further and so on Offline: Volunteer work such as you can serve geriatric people at Pashupatinath Temple once in a week go there and serve them you will see a lots of difference, you can ask your seniour if they are doing any project, volunteering work and get involved somehow you have to know your interest and get involved.
Infact there are lots of thing that one can do you just have to have the will power determination and persistent to your goal and dream you can achieve anything.

get a job!!!...tuition SLC and ISc kids!
do things that will enhance your CV...don't waste time doing random stuff just they are "extra curricula". Jobs and Volunteer work make your CV extra strong, it shows you have empathy and can multitask and yet do a very demanding course.

hey,
research is something i am also very much interested in...
in fact, we here at KMC, conducted a small survey among brick klin workers few months back... ya know, the questionnaire, interviews, etc...
now we are in the data compilation and results processing process...
we are hoping to get exciting results as i can see now...
in few days (or weeks) time, we will have completed it with its report...
well, we did it cuz KMC, duwakot is surrounded by brick klins, and being there, studying there meant doing something for the place we are in too...we we chose it... from the results, we will see what kind of intervention are needed and then we will go for it ASAP...
YOU CAN DO SIMILAR SURVERYS, STUDIES... YOU JUST HAVE TO LOOK AROUND, EVERYTHING IS AROUND, ANYTHING CAN BE PICKED UP...
you can even pick up a topic just like, "why a dead dog is thrown at streets of Ktm and remaing for days, what can it do n so on..."
so enjoy life, n get incolved in ANYTHING!
cheers!

lets see if i can be of help.
i am from CMC Vellore and here i will list down what all extra curriculat activites we have as student bodies.
in respective hostels we have governing bodies who take up the entire responsibilty of looking after the hostel.
mess, sports, library, huge garden, stores, chapel, are all managed by us.
we have secretaries for each of these post.
like in college we got studets association which takes care of all the interhouse sports , athletics, culturals, music competitions, again SA lib, chapel,
we have secretaries for each of these departments as well.
then comes picnics, special days like indian republic day , dipawali, holi, good friday etc etc all done by students
each class has a governing body. various people are in charge of curriculum( xeroxing notes , putting up lectures in teh net etc), treasurer, sports( inter class sports)
through out the year we got loads of events every week organised by the students.
i was in charge of inter collegiate meet in our college.
we collected close to about 10 lakh rupees and managed 1500 athletics.
governing body meetings and general body meetings is another time for being responsible for what you have done.
then we got retreats, college days, almuni reunion days, staff entertainment days, interepartmental sports, integrated sports etc etc a long list.
it just makes us good leaders
and helps us manage our time.
we don't do that bad in studies after all.
just to give some idea about what all is possible to do in a medical college.
all this in addition to colege days, freshers celebrations, final year farewells, etc etc.
nice seeing your mail
my brother studied in your college and i got friends there.
