Dr. Hemang Dixit is conscious at this moment (10:15 am, 4th March, 2006.)
According to the information received, two bullets were shot at him while at this moment one is still inside the neck where it hit. Recently he has been taken for CT scan and I saw him to be well conscious and quite comfortable.
Doctors say he is out of Danger.
According to his Driver, Mr. Timilsinha, who was driving the car when he was shot at, they were at Baneswor Height, Old Baneswor at around 9:00 am when a bike came at the side of the car and shot two bullets at Dr. Hemang Dixit and fled away. Then he turned the car back and brought to KMCTH. He mentioned of not noticing the bike numbers.
Lets pray for his speedy recovery.

KATHMANDU, May 4 - Unidentified gunmen have shot and injured Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) principal and prominent child specialist, Dr. Hemang Dixit Thursday morning.

According to the District Police Office DSP Ganesh KC, the unidentified gunmen had followed Dr. Dixit's car and fired twice, two kilometers away from his residence.
