New cases in Pous 2064, HIV = 175, AIDS = 26, Death = 2. HIV rate is very high in Housewives than sex workers in Nepal ! ! ! HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

Internship starts on february 15th - 14-02-2008, 02:38 AM
The seventh batch of Kathmandu Medical college is starting their internship from february 15th 2008. A total of 78 students including the regular and the repeaters have been enrolled in the one year rotational training program.

There are a total of 16 units, eight each in surgery and medicine.

We congratulate all the new intern doctors and wish they learn a great deal during the period and come out as very competent doctors.

Its starting from today and I am starting from Surgery Unit II.
I hope I am ganna have lot more to share after I start the internships. I mean a lot of experiences. Wish us luck to good in our job.
