New cases in Pous 2064, HIV = 175, AIDS = 26, Death = 2. HIV rate is very high in Housewives than sex workers in Nepal ! ! ! HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

Everyone from KMC 8th batch must have had hard times during community medicine practicals especially with spotters. So I am going to post spotters list which were given to us so that we dont have much difficulty in our finals. I request others to post their respective spotter list here.

1. BCG vaccine
a) Efficacy

2. DPT
a) Antigens
b) 4 difference between toxoid and anti-toxin
c) Prevention of tetanus in pregnancy

3. Vaginal condom
a) Identify
b) Advantage
c) CYP
d) CPR in Nepals' context

4. Multilateral and bilateral agencies in Nepal

5. Case of PEM
a) Causes in Nepal
b) 2 differences between marasmus and kwashiorkar
c) IYCF
d) SNL

6. Case of Tuberculosis
a) Drugs contraindicated in renal and liver failure
b) CAT-I treatment

7. Case of leprosy
a) When do you say it is eradicated?
b) Treatment of single lesion leprosy
c) How do you diagnose in absence of laboratory facilities?

8. Divisions and centres of DOHS

Sorry there were 9 of them. I could remember only 8 and some points are also missing. If anyone remembers anything in between please I request you to add them here.
