The Clegg Scholarship - 2006, Apply Now - 17-11-2006, 06:38 AM

Learn about medical journalism: apply for the Clegg Scholarship

The Clegg Scholarship is aimed at students from all over the world who want to learn about medical journalism.

The BMJ Publishing Group is looking for students who will be able to spend eight weeks with them.

Students at any stage of their medical degree are welcome to apply, but we prefer prior writing experience.

You will be paid £1200 ($2300; €1800) and must be able to spend eight weeks at the BMJ offices in London.

If you are interested please send a curriculum vitae, a record of any published work, and a covering letter explaining why you would like to work with the BMJ as email attachments to Julia Burrell: jburrell@bmj.com.

Closing date: 8 December 2006.

All the best.

This a golden opportunity for us to take a bigger step in our life and go up ahead. Journalism is a field that we have minimal knowledge about but on the other hand it is the most essential field for the polishing of our career. But as Sarensa said, we have rarely any prior experience of Journal writing. Do you think we have any chances of getting this opportunity?

Well,
Sarensa and Raaz, I am glad that you picked up the message and understood the gravity of publication.
For you guys, it is time to start and net it in later years if not embraced right now.
But, my word is to go ahead with the application no matter what it is as simple as a one more mail to Julia Burrell.
The message is loud and clear:the PUBLICATION!
Hopefully, you guys work ahead.

Best wishes,
mati
