me, i made up my mind at last despite some anxieties not knowin anything about such 'camps'..
20 doctors [medical officers, interns, juniors] took great chances in exploring the total number of 180 cases only in about 4 hrs time..
i took the clinic of 'gyn-obs- along with sarensa & handled over 20 cases [uff, i lost the exact count]; it was like, for the 'स्त्नी रोग' clinic room people meant the 'female patients' so all female patients rushed into our room, we had to refer many of them to the other room for 'medicine', haa..
it was very exciting for me personally, this being my very first camp..
o well i'm not in a good state of mind&body to write about it all cause of tiredness.. anyway would like to mention about this couple of cases i found really interesting..
1 that woman of 27yrs old; last child birth 4 yrs back complaining of amenorrhea till date; has h/o using -sangini- after 45 days of each delivery.. i'm still trying to think about the possible causes of amenorrhea in this case [but none knocking me, since i'm still to start my 'gyn-obs' rotation, this question's killing me, should check into books, huh]
2 woman of 35 yrs old; complaining of 'sob' ; on chest auscultation b/l wheeze, rhonchi in all lung fields are heard; not very much stymptomic though.. me & sarensa adviced her the possible threats in days to come & to refer to hospital in ktm but she was not willing, she only wished to have some expectorants from us.. i'm still thinking about her as this case is a life threatening to her..

i'm very much thankful to 'xenomed' for this day; will write more on this next day.. thank you, good night ..

Yes, these are the limitations of the free health camps, it would have better if we could make them convince to seek higher centre in KTM.

thats the area which we need to work hard.. if people are conscious enough and get checkups as early as they can.. i am pretty sure ki there won't be much serious cases.... people here just don't care till its too late and they can hardly stand..... its all lack of education and poverty as well......
so the effort should be from everyones side... the one day health camp is definitely not going to do any good.... and i think the aim of health camps should be just to make people aware about their health and persuade them to seek medical help at early times and not to treat what they have....
