Harrison's Int Med is great--if u can give more time on books. Das's and Manipal Manual of surgery were my fav for surgery during internship. Bengali Chhele suggest you to read "Chotti". Mosby's crash course in medicine (unfortunately not available in nepal) is what I found superb for ref in the ward, though many guys say Oxford's handbooks are good.

Ophthalmology - by Khurana
Pharmacology - by Tripathi but NDR will help you in many aspects.
Emergency - Oxford publication

If you want to have the best book during internship go for

Washington Manual of Medical Therapeutics, 31st Edition

and for the surgery same go for washington manual.

Internship is not the period to go for the text books but I would definately recommend you for Emergency Medicine - Oxford & Washington Manual they help a lot in the ward.

Some intern also find usefull this book " A Clinical Manual for Medical Students" you can get it in the National Book Center near Jama Masjid Close to Trichandra College.

Best of Luck

didn't you get the 31st edition i have the 29th one.

I Love Clinical Vignette a concise presentation of an interesting & challenging patient encounter that stimulates an inquisitive learning session.
