Places and Process For INTERNSHIP IN NEPAL

You should be prepared before coming to nepal for internship for many things. You must have passed certificate and syllabus (if you are 1st batch graduating from that college) before you come to nepal. Make sure that you have spent 4 and half your.( that means your course has to be of 4+1/2 year OR 4 year + Elective / pre-internship for at least 6 mths). Then gather all your previous documents ( +2/Isc ; SLC ; Citizenship) together with your certificate and syllabus and submit it to Nepal Medical Council for approval. It will take usually 1 week to 1 month to get approval. After Approval of your syllabus then you will get provisional registration number. You take that provisional reg. no. and certificates and apply to any hospital below and start your internship.

Bir or Govt. Hospitals like Kanti, Prasuti Griha, Shukraraj Tropical & other zonal hospital = total cost Rs.18,000/-

1) Bir hospital and Related Govenment hospital , Kanti hospital, Prasuti Griha ( Gynae/obs) Shukraraj Tropical and infectious dzs hospital, Price is as usual about Rs 18,000 in total. Bir take interns after completion of each batch...usually every 7 mths later ( seat around 65 / batch)
Other Zonal hospitals

2) Om Hospital - around 8 seats ( Rs.10,000 / year )

3) B and B Hospital - 5 to 10 seats ( I am not sure about money)

4) Police Hospital - 10 seats ( Free of cost, No application fee )

5) Army Hospital - Seat no. not sure ( around 10 seats ) ( free of cost, no application fee )

6) Dhulikhel Hospital ( Under KU ) - Seat no. not sure ( >5 seats ) ( I am not sure about money)

7) Mission Hospital , palpa - 10 seats ( application fee free, u will be paid Rs 3000/month )

8) Patan hospital - 25 seats ( only aug/sept ) ( application fee ?? )

9) Kathmandu Model Hospital - around 10 seats ( free of charge , Appl. fee Rs 500 only )

10) Any Teaching Hospitals of Medical Colleges in Nepal e.g MCOMS, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj ,if hospital is ready to take you.

2002 batch Students from Zhengzhou Medical University / initially called as Henan Medical University had also started doing their pre-internship in Bir hospital, i will go to Bir tomorrow and give you all fact about there. That will be a complete information then.
