New cases in Pous 2064, HIV = 175, AIDS = 26, Death = 2. HIV rate is very high in Housewives than sex workers in Nepal ! ! ! HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

I am a Nepalese student studying in china and i hear that the government has made a rule that we not allowed to do intern in Nepal Is that true????



and what about the andolon going on in Nepal by the parents that i read in 28 th January ..
pls any body who lnows about it......

Government hasn't banned internship in Nepal you can do it but they have change the rules you can read here

Government Service Mandatory if Internship done in Govt. Hospitals in Nepal - MOHP


I think protest is going on you can read this news

there is not written that we cant do internship but after doing internship we have to work under the government service for one year. does that mean that we can do internship in the bir hospital??

this news also says that it is not allowed to do pre internship in nepal, it does not mean that internship is not allowed....
we don't need to do pre internship do we have any problem?

You can do internship in Nepal.

But after doing internship you will have to do one year compulsory job in the Government.

They will send you any part of the Nepal to serve there.

Yes we can do internship in nepal only if we have all d sources n resources....tht's what has happened to half of us here...we waited for BIR n then appeared for xjam n now half of d ppls names r on d waiting list. i dont know where do we continue our internship.

and abt completing d internship n working under govt,it's alreadt been cancelled.there had been a protest n d govt has taken back d issue....

btw can anyone pls recommend any other hosp to continue our internship besides Bir for internal med n surgery .thank u
