Pre-Internship Issues in Nepal

hey friends!!
I AM SUPPOSE TO COME TO NEPAL FOR PRE-INTERNSHIP AFTER 3 MTH..BUT WE HAVE HEARED THAT WE PROBABBLY ARENT ALLOWED TO DO PREINTERN IN BIR HOSPITAL....WE ARE VERY WORRIED TO HEARED THESE THING...IT WOULD BE SO KIND IF ANYONE TELL ME THE FACT.....THANKS

Rumor is going on the final decision from the management hasn't been come out as bhawana is saying (http://www.xenomed.com/forums/129280-post6.html).

There hasn't been any notice or announcement from Bir that they won't allow pre-internship. There has been lots of rumor regarding internship at Bir, Kanti or Maternity Hospital the fact is Nepal Medical Council (NMC) has come up with the idea that no intern other than from China & Russia will be allowed in Nepal.

And for those who are graduating from Medical Colleges of Nepal, India, Bangladesh or Pakistan they will have to do their internship in their respective (parent) institute. Pre-internship is nothing to do with NMC as I just talked to the NMC officials.

I talked to the Director of Kanti Child Hospital he said that they have stopped taking Pre-intern from Paush 1, 2064 and same with the Maternity Hospital but Bir hasn't stopped yet.

Since you want to start your pre-internship within three month I hope Bir will also decide by that time. Let’s hope everything goes well.

What about the pre-internship for those who wants to join Bir Hospital from mid january 2008 or later on? We do have a short group of 8-10 students,will it help us in joining Bir Hospital as recovery for the crisis of new group?

Rupesh, I am really sorry to say that I just learned that Bir has also stopped taking Pre-Intern, I talked one of the intern from XianX-Xin. He also said that NMC is having meeting regarding pre-internship issue but as I posted earlier NMC official said NMC has no role for Pre-Internship.

Anyway I will confirm it today from Bir and NMC.

oh my god!!!!!!!!are u sure abt the information regarding not permitting pre-internship in Bir Hospital?we are so worried...if they dont allow us ,our future and hope will be ruiened........Plz make sure abt the informtion...thank you..
