Yes you are very much correct
buckminster Quote:
preinternship is like a clinical posting in any medical college and it is nothing to do with the Government of Nepal or the nmc or moe or moh.
why don't guys understand this?
four and half year of medical education and one year of internship that includes five and half year of medical schooling is the standard way of medical education in the saarc countries.
and why do you people are after the government of nepal instead its your college's fault or you can do your clinical posting in you college.
whatever you do this is the POINT. do your preinternship in your college and you can do internship later on. but allowing or disallowing preinternship is not the government's concern.
as far as i know there wasn't a single word in the dictionary so called preinternship this word came out of blue and will vanish the way it appeared. there is a term called juniro internship in iom but not a word called preinternship.
nmc has strict rule (which is standard) of 4.5 years of medical education then one year of internship therefore if anyone of you has 4 years of medical education then you will be in trouble so better contact nmc or talk to your medical college.

that's well understand and basics!
we need to understand basics of program, MOE, council, and many stuffs about what we are involved in or doing!
The problem is with the colleges themselves. They are responsible and supposed to manage.

If its nothing to do with the Government of Nepal or the nmc or moe or moh, then why the hell they are showing objection on doing our pre-intern in nepal? due to language problems we have lots of difficulties in doing pre-intern in country like china and russia.

Language is students' personal problem. You must learn the language. Anywhere in the world if a medical student cannot take history due to his language problem - imagine what happens in his/her exam! Wherever you go and study medicine you must learn the language to deal with the patients - usually medical education department takes responsibility of that to facilitate it but rest lies with the student and clinical teachers/doctors. The preinternship sort of things rightly done by the students from abroad is no more or equivalent to electives!!! Any sort of postings before anybody passes final year is done strictly under supervision of the clinical teacher/doctor in their teaching hospital. If that is not happening and students are obliged to find other hospitals or they can't do with the sort of any reason, that's the problem with the college and management. It is the college that must talk to the hospitals anywhere in the world and make bond for their students' rotations.
Even the internship is about the program - MBBS i.e it is mandatory for the college to make sure of it. It is within your graduation year and syllabus.
It is nice you guys have been received in Nepal. In some parts of the world, it is not accepted and sometimes it is forced to do twice - first from college's teaching hospital then in their homeland. For example if I do my undergraduation from Canada I will not be given certificate unless I complete my internship from there then my home country wants me to do internship again. If I don't do that I will not be given chance for appearing in the licensing examination!!!
