Getting Job at KMC - 07-11-2005, 12:28 AM

90 candidate for just 3 vacancies in Internal Medicine at KMC. more than 300 candidates are there for less than 25 available vacancies and obviously... afno manche chha ko chhaina

Nature of selection:
  • Step 1: Essay question
  • Step 2: MCQs
  • Step 3: Interview
guys compare with USMLE step1, step2 and step3 its becoming as tough as that.

Life is getting tougher day by day..... think about tomorrow.

dear pal,
you have raised a very true thing that need to be discussed. few years back, doctors used to have hard time to chose where to work, they are getting calls from everywhere, they had so many choices. now things have just got opposite. 25 posts and more than 300 applicants. that means a probability of 1 in 12, so out of every 12 doctors 1 will get job. that seems pretty tough,

so i think time has come when we think is it a good business to invest almost 20 lakhs and 5 years of ones most precious and productive part of life plus so much tiring efforts just to be a doctor who has to fight such a fierce competition just to get a job. you may say i am studying MBBS not just for easy earnings but for my interest and bla, bla bla---- but after all it all comes to getting job and do some earnings, doesn't it?

so to survive in such a difficult time what are the things we need to have to be that 1 out of the 12. lets discuss.

suvash.
