Well, I will be joining the Royal Nepalese Army. No offense to those who will be leaving Nepal in seek of advance knowledge and skills! Good lucks to all of them! But, sometimes I do remember a surgeon telling me: "US ma robot le operation garyo bhanera k garne, Nepal ma dus aaula chalaunu parcha!" So, hope all you docs abroad will be able to bring some advance technology in Nepal as well so that the Nepalese pts. can benefit more! And of course, an oppurtunity for us to learn more too!
Regards,
Sushma.

nation first for the service is always a good thing....

but here are too limited seats for postgraduation, so probably goin outside for studies and coming back to serve is a better idea so far

Serve Nepal first and then will go foreign for further studies. But I will return to my motherland after gaining all that knowledge to serve my mother.

The motivation amongst the members in this forum to return back to Nepal seems great. I'd even agree with Raaz's dad (though the analogy seems absurd to me!). But how many trained doctors really return back after their residency abroad (say in US)? You guys are telling what you are because you are still in Nepal or because you don't even plan to give these exams (like USMLE and AMC) and are just giving your opinion here (which I am sure is not a difficult thing to do). But believe me that once you're there, it's a different ball game and the spirit of nationality melts down to zero.

Why do people go for H1 visas or do their best to get a J1 waiver in US if such spirit truly endured? Think of yourself as a MD or a fellow in New York or Chicago and then answer. At ground zero, most of the same high spirited doctors want to stay back and there again they find ways to justify themselves!!

ooooooooh great. so u think products of nepal are not skilled.may b they will b superior ,coz they know more about the primary problems of nepal.
studying in developed countries will u more sophisticated technical but not the information to b used for the needy people ,may b better if u think big for being superspecialist/ open some high centres.

anyway all the best

I am going nowhere. I plan to join the Royal Nepalese Army and if I don't i will join the government services.
How about living like a lion in someone else's jungle? Surely that's better.
