this is 21st centuary and still poeple are following the path of that has been lead by some nasty insane people in the past. look at the following news a naked women plough the field and there will be rain if that would have been the case than there wouldn't be any drought in the world.

and what about man why don't they do it and look at the attitude only dalit women re why not the other women its totally mental and social harrashment to the women who unergoes this type of situation. govt should ban this type of tradition and they must punish the culprit who provoke the women to carry out this thing then olny this kind of things can be abolihsed.

KAPILBASTU, Aug 21 - Reeling under the spell of drought for a long time, the women here ploughed lands in nude at night for precious rainfall.
As per tradition here, desperate local women ploughed land in nude after the villagers failed to get rainfall even after special offerings were made to the deity with their bodies dipped in the holy water, Bhajans were chanted to appease the god , holy water was offered to Lord Shiva.

About two dozens of women of ward No. 2 of the Kapilbastu Municipality are reported to have ploughed fields in nude which is located west of Gaudhichowk in ward No. 2 of the Municipality, said Krishna Bari, a local .
Likewise, women of ward No. 10 of Dekha village of the municipality also ploughed land in nude.

It is widely believed here that it will rain if the women especially from lower caste of Dalits plough lands in nude. The old-timers here said that women plough the land in this manner after having locked up all the four gates of Toleswornath Shiva Temple .

According to District Agriculture Development Office, the severe drought conditions have reported to have burnt out paddy crops worth Rs. 42 corer .
