Ayurvedic doctor shot dead in Bara
Unidentified gunmen have shot dead Dr Ramchandra Mandal, an Ayurvedic doctor based in southern district of Bara on Thursday.
According to reports, Mandal was shot dead at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday at his residence in Kalaiya municipality. Mandal was serving at the District Ayurved hospital in Bara for the last three years.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the killing of Dr Mandal and objective of his murder is also not known. But, the Royal Nepalese Army has blamed Maoist rebels for the incident.

Meanwhile, a press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of Royal Nepalese Army said that Maoists looted 28 thousand rupees from Jagat Giri, a resident if Kalkhet area of Bajura district. Likewise, the Maoists shut down eight schools of Okhaldhunga district.
In another incident, a report from eastern region said security forces have destroyed a Maoist training centre at Bodhae area of eastern hilly district of Dhankuta.
The report quoted assistant head of the Eastern divisional headquarters of Royal Nepalese Army, Anant Ram Thebe, as saying that security forces on regular patrol destroyed the training centre with the capacity to train 250 Maoists on Thursday.
"The security forces had observed restraints though they had carried long-range weapons that could have reached the Maoists, according to our correspondent," he added.
The security forces also rescued a pregnant Maoist woman cadre during the operation, according to RNA. nepalnews.com by/pb Dec 09 05
