Thoughts of Mike Brescia..
It's now official.
Nothing is impossible.
The second largest underdog in Super Bowl history has won.
David slew Goliath.
All the doubters were wrong... including me.
All week long, every time I got into a conversation about
the upcoming game, I expressed how I felt that the Rams
were just too good, spouting off facts and statistics,
marveling at all those high-powered weapons they
possessed...
...forgetting all about desire.
The burning kind.
That is one thing most everyone, including yours truly
forgot about.
Look at yourself for a second...
It's easy to count yourself out, isn't it, when no one
believes in you?
Isn't it hard to go on when all you see is insurmountable
problems?
The Patriots refused to look at how impossible their task
seemed.
Instead they looked at their strengths. They focused on
what they had, not what they didn't. They had that burning
desire.
Adam Vinatieri, the Patriot kicker who ended any final
doubt with a 48-yard field goal as time expired, said his
sleep the night before the game was filled with dreams
about that exact moment, should it occur.
He said after the game, "I must have seen that kick 200
times the night before in my sleep. It always ended good."
If you're not a football fan, that's OK. This isn't about
football.
But if you've got a big challenge ahead of you and you
have lots of doubts about the outcome, do this...
...Read this past Sunday's newspaper. The same one where
all the experts said that there was no way the Rams would
lose.
This is important, because you must understand how futile
the task seemed, how invincible the Rams seemed, how the
Patriots didn't deserve to be there. One journalist even
predicted that the Rams would score over 100 points.
It supposedly was that hopeless.
So I ask you to read this because you must know that when
things look bleak for you and for people on your team, you
must not give up...
...No matter how seemingly impossible the task.
To flip your switch from lose to win, you must be a possibility thinker. And the only way to do that is to
constantly be reminded in as many ways as possible that
nothing is impossible.
Ignite that burning desire.
Moods and shifts and cycles and tides and momentum
threaten us every single day. They can take away our
beliefs and our convictions. Try this habit out. In your local paper's sports section,
save the stories of underdogs beating heavily favored
opposition. Re-read them regularly.
And set your goals.
Whenever you make a mistake, a wrong decision, or when
someone counts you out, pull the stories out and reaffirm a
new belief... Nothing is impossible! Even for you. Sushant-passion

Be Your Own Hero
By Robin Sharma
So many of us have heroes. Leaders, artists or entreprenuers that inspire us. People who have made an impact, people who have shown us a better way, people who have overcome outrageous odds.
Yet, the interesting insight about heroes is that they have the human imperfections and weaknesses that we do. They have their bad days, they feel despair, they get knocked down (in fact, heroes get knocked down more than the rest of us).
Yet, in spite of their human frailties, heroes find a way to change the world.
Here's my challenge to you -- be your own hero. Ask yourself, what would it take for me to show up in the world like my heroes?
You may never discover a life changing medicine, invent a best-in-class product or win the World Cup. But, you can show up every day with discipline, compassion and extraordinary commitment.
So, in your journal, go through the following steps and take the hero's journey.
1. List three to five of your heros.
2. For each hero write down the traits that you admire. Is it Steve Nash's selflessness on the court? Is it Martin Luther King's commitment to civil rights? Is it Richard Branson's vison?
3. Then translate these traits into your life. Can you be more selfless at work? Can you make an unshakeable commitment to doing the right thing? Can you create a powerful vision for your life and pursue it?
4. Write these traits down on a card or better yet on a picture of that hero. Remind yourself to act like that hero. This way your hero becomes your mentor -- even if you'll never meet them.
5. Then go into your days and live like the hero you are. Sushant-passion

11 Steps that Absolutely Guarantee You'll have the Body of Your Dreams in 90 Days or Less! by Christopher Guerriero
1. Persistence!
Violate this step and you'll never achieve permanent results. We recently concluded conducted a 10 year study which proves that persistence is the single most important aspect of any diet or exercise program. The study followed a group of people (group #1) who exercised and dieted very strictly, but sporadically and compared those results to a group of people (group #2) who exercised mildly and followed a very basic diet, but this group never varied from their routine. Even though group #2 exercised and dieted far less (but did so persistently) they got 68% better results than those who exercised and dieted VERY STRICTLY but only occasionally.
2. Workout around other people.
Working out with others will get you about 43% faster results!!!
3. Don't take bad advice.
Take ONLY the advice of those people who look strong & healthy themselves, and, whom you know to be knowledgeable about health & fitness!
4. ALWAYS keep an eye on your pulse.
When doing aerobic or cardiovascular training! Keeping your pulse inside your 80% target heart rate zone will burn up to 9 times more calories. Dropping below your target heart rate will not burn nearly as many fat calories, and going above your target heart rate may lead to muscle breakdown.
5. Surround yourself with winners.
One of the key qualities of all successful people is that they avoid negative people and they spend the majority of their time surrounded by those who have already achieved what they themselves seek to achieve. So if your goal is to weigh 135 pounds by eating healthy and living an energy full life - then seek out others who already live a healthy lifestyle and weigh 135 pounds. Hanging out with people who just talk about getting in shape but never take persistent action will ensure that you never reach your goal.
6. Know your outcome.
Have specific goals. Get a photo (or several) of what you WILL look like when you reach your goal, then focus only on that image. Quickly erase any negative beliefs or images that may enter into your mind during your day.
7. Increase you water intake.
Water is a key component to life. No living creature can survive without a fresh supply of pure water each and every day. If you do not consume enough fresh water every day, your body will age faster, appear fatter, be more susceptible to germs and colds, lose joint mobility, and much more. Generally speaking, most people who weigh under 150 pounds require no less than 8-10 glasses per day, those who weigh between 150-250 pounds require about 16 glasses per day.
8. Watch where your calories come from.
Without a doubt, we eat way too much sugar and fat. Moderation was the key in the past, now the key is moderation and the exclusion of junk food. One or two binges per year are generally OK if you are a normal healthy individual, but more is absolutely not OK.
9. Increase the number of meals consumed per day.
On average, you should be eating some form of protein and vegetable combination that's low in fat and high in fiber every 2 -3 hours of the day. Doing so will give you an almost unfair advantage over those who only eat the normal 3 meals (or less) each day.
10. Visualize Clearly and Often.
Design your new body in your mind first. You cannot achieve your idea of the perfect body if you don't have an idea of what the perfect body means to you. Take 10 minutes when you are sure not to be disturbed by people or phone calls, get comfortable, fully relax, then begin to dream about what you will look like when you have achieved your goal. Be specific, what will your calves look like, your legs, your butt, your lower back, your stomach, your chest, your upper back, your shoulders, your neck and your face. Then review this image as often throughout each day as possible (never less than 3x/day).
11. Cardio...Cardio...Cardio.
Cardiovascular exercising does more for the health and the appearance of the human body than any other form of exercise. Learn how much and what type of cardio is right for your particular body. Then refer to step #1 and do it persistently.

Right by Bob Proctor
That's right. It's right. He's right. She's right. Those words are echoed every day by millions of people. Once we decide we are right, an abundance of energy goes into defending our rightness. However, if we look at the situation objectively, we will quickly become aware that we are never right.
Our way may be a good way, it can be a valid way, it might even be a better way - but it will never be the right way. The minute you believe your way is the right way, all other ways will be wrong. That attitude will quickly paralyze progress. It will shut down the creative juices, which have given you and I a standard of living that is the envy of the world.
Permit me to make a suggestion. The next time you hear yourself saying, "that's right or I'm right," correct yourself immediately by repeating, that is a good way, and I might act on it. However, there is a better way and I will look for it.
The first telephones were a good way, a better way, even a great way to communicate. However, history has proven that the first telephones were certainly not the best way to communicate. By comparison with today's telephone systems, they were terrible.
This basic concept holds true with everything we do, from health care to air travel. Think of your own business or industry and the role you play in it. You could very easily be caught in the trap of doing your job the same way because you believe it is the right way. It may be effective but there is always a better way. One small adjustment could improve your productivity one hundred percent. Your way may be effective, it may be valid, but it's never right. There is a better way. Find it! Set the Pace from the Helm
By Charles Lutz
Be...
Concise
Optimistic
Playful
Yourself
Concise
With being concise, I am referring to concise communication in relaying the mission, vision, and overall strategy to team members. There are three basic questions that come with any strategy.
They are:
1. Where are we now?
2. Where are we going?
3. How are we going to get there?
In being concise, knowing where you currently are is the first step. The second question of "Where are we going?" is critical to organizational success. The vision should be clear, tangible, and easily understood. More importantly, everyone should know what it is and where he or she fits into the value chain in producing the end result. A teammate who knows, with precision, where the organization is going will help you figure out the third question of "How are we going to get there." All of this starts with stepping out and reaching each teammate with concise communication.
Optimistic
As the "Captain," your optimistic attitude will permeate throughout the rest of the "ship" and will dictate the performance of the team. When you are excited about where you are going and have used concise communication to let everyone know, your team will be excited as well. Although there may be grumbling (because resistance to change can happen), you have the power to quickly turn it around. As you believe it and are positive about it, the rest will follow. Mountains, valleys, highs, lows, and even large ravines shouldn't keep you from losing focus - the battle is won (or lost) in your head prior to its start and it all begins with PMA (Positive Mental Attitude)!
Playful
Do you remember how much fun it was to hang out, laugh, and play with your friends when you were a kid? So do I! That's what work should be...FUN! Cell phones, deadlines, finances, and email pound down on employees every day - stifling creativity, productivity, and morale. You, as the leader, can mitigate the effects of stress by infusing "fun" into each day. It could be as simple as hosting a weekly "potluck" - something to break the workweek/day up. Work should be like a game of kick ball. The focus stays strategic (win the game) but the method is fun. You set the pace and the entire "crew" will take their cues from you...go ahead, kick the ball!
Yourself
During Officer Candidate School, one does A LOT of push ups (I did more than most). As we went down to the floor in the push up position, we had to scream "INTEGRITY" and on the up we had to scream "DISCIPLINE!" Honestly, although it was done as a punishment, it was one of the most motivational moments of my life - hearing 80 people scream in unison can help you tap into strength reserves that you didn't know you had. When times have gotten bad and I may have been tempted to cut a corner and not be true to who I was as a person, I think of those two words and my teammates yelling them in my ear– "INTEGRITY!....DISCIPLINE!" and I am able to tap back into those reserves and stay the course. We all have those times of trial and if we stay true the entire team appreciates it. Always be "you" and always stay true to your core beliefs.

1. Three Key Words to Remember: Weigh, Count and Measure by Jim Rohn
Three key words to remember: weigh, count and measure. Now why weigh, count and measure? To see what your results are from your activity, your attitude and your philosophy. If you find that the results are not to your liking there are only three places to look. Your philosophy needs to be fine-tuned; your attitude needs to be strengthened or your disciplines need extra skill. But that's it. Activity, attitude and philosophy create results.
Now on results I teach that life expects you to make measurable progress in reasonable time. But, you must be reasonable with time. You can't say to someone every five minutes, how are you doing now? That's too soon to ask for a count. Guy says, "I haven't left the building yet, give me a break!" Now you can't wait five years - that's too long. Too many things can go wrong waiting too long for a count to see how you're doing.
Here are some good time frames:
Number one - at the end of the day. You can't let more than a day go by without looking at some things and making progress. New Testament says - if you are angry, try to solve it before the sun goes down. Don't carry anger for another day. It may be too heavy to carry. If you try to carry it for a week, it may drop you to your knees. So some things you must get done in a day.
Here's the next one - a week. We ask for an accounting of the week so we can issue the pay. And whatever you've got coming that's what you get; when the week is over. Now in business there are two things to check in the course of the week. Your activity count and your productivity count. Because activity leads to productivity we need to count both to see how we're doing.
My mentor taught me that success is a numbers game and very early he started asking me my numbers. He asked, "How many books have you read in the last ninety days?" I said, "Zero"; he said, "Not a good number." He said, "How many classes have you attended in the last six months to improve your skills?" And I said, "Zero." He said, "Not a good number." Then he said, "In the last six years that you've been working, how much money have you saved and invested?" I said, "Zero" and he said, "Not a good number." Then here's what he said, "Mr. Rohn, if these numbers don't change your life won't change. But" he said, "If you'll start improving these numbers then perhaps you'll start to see everything change for you."
Success and results are a numbers game. John joins this little sales company. He's supposed to make 10 calls the first week just to get acquainted with the territory. So on Friday we call him in and say what? "How many calls?" He says, "Well." You say, "John, 'well' won't fit in the little box here. I need a number." Now he starts with a story. And you say, "John, the reason I made this little box so small is so a story won't fit. All I need is a number because if you give us the number we're so brilliant around here we could guess the story." It's the numbers that count. Making measurable progress in reasonable time.
Here's the best accounting. The accounting you make of yourself. Don't wait for the government to do it, don't wait for the company to do it. But you've got to add up some of your own numbers and ask, "Am I making the progress I want and will it take me where I want to go now and in the future?" You be the judge!
To Your Success,
Jim Rohn

A Winning Attitude Is Not Optional.
"Our attitude toward life determines life's attitude towards us."
-Earl Nightingale
Whenever success is the goal (and why wouldn't it be?), a winning attitude is never an option it is an absolute necessity. A winning attitude and winning approach to life is the bedrock of your success.
A winning attitude sets your mood. It dictates your tempo. It provides motivation and keeps you moving in a positive direction towards the fulfillment of your goals and aspirations. It stabilizes your focus, especially in times of trouble and uncertainty. It picks you up when you get knocked down and provides direction when you lose your way.
Your winning attitude adds purpose and passion to your life. It quietly restores your soul, confidently assuring you that everything will be OK. A winner, absent his or her winning attitude, is incapable of sustaining success for very long.
You should never lose sight of the importance of preserving your winning attitude. Even if your winning spirit has been subjected to years of abuse and neglect, it still burns brightly deep down inside of you. That power packed, never say die winning attitude you were born with can once again take control of your life when allowed to do so.
You've got to let it do so.
"Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail."
-Charles Kettering
You should never think, even for a fleeting moment, that you've lost that winning touch. It's easy to believe that's the case sometimes, especially on those occasions when the bad seems to dominate your life and the good seems in very short supply. Even when life feels like a hopeless, uphill struggle with no relief in sight, your winning spirit is still alive and well down in your heart and soul.
You can quickly recapture that winning spirit once again. Yes, you can. You can turn your life completely around and make winning a way of life for you and your family once again. Yes, you can. You can fan that smoldering desire you hold inside of you into a full fledged flame and begin living the life you have always dreamed about. Yes, you can. It all starts by changing your attitude.
Once your reconditioned winning attitude is firmly in place, anything and everything you have ever dreamed of having, doing and being will now be well within your reach. With all limitations removed once and for all, you can become actively engaged in pushing your power envelope and fulfilling your promise, with each new day unveiling a new and exciting chapter in your positively charged life.
Armed with the right attitude, you'll find those barriers that previously held you down or held you back have been knocked down and abundant opportunity abounds in their place. You will feel a surge of confidence welling up inside of you, no longer doubting yourself or your God given abilities.
Having a winning attitude by your side, you will learn to harness the awesome potential you hold inside yourself and start making things great things, exciting things, truly unbelievable things happen right before your eyes. It feels wonderful to know, really know deep down where it really counts, that you can count on yourself. Yes, it is an almost indescribable, invincible feeling to know that you can achieve virtually anything you want in life.
Can there be a better feeling than knowing you can at long last live life your way and on your terms?
"Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes."
-Norman Vincent Peale
A winning attitude is not optional if you truly desire the best out of life. Your future success relies heavily on retaining (keeping it close at hand) and maintaining (keeping it firing on all cylinders) your winning attitude.
You should be feeling really great the fantastic future you're about to create for yourself. Never, ever forget, especially when the going gets a bit rough, that you do deserve the very best life has to offer.
Your success is never a hit or miss proposition, it is a process that you control. Please make absolutely certain you retain complete control of your life by maintaining your newly discovered winning attitude.
"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help with man with the wrong mental attitude."
-W.W. Ziege
