Last few months when i didnt have enough time to participate here in Xenomed,i used to just peek in once in a while and i was happy that there was a new guy "Arjun" posting interesting writeups.Great going Pal.This is another GREAT POST.
I am not sure whether u can call Dr.Devkota as Father of Neurosurgery because Dr.Gangol used to do Neurosurgeries before Dr.Devkota was back but he sure did a lot for this field.Dr.Gangol actually can be called father of surgery in Nepal.Dr.Mrigendra Raj Pandey can be called father of cardiology and one of the pioneers of cardiology in South Asia.He is the founder of many south asian cardiological/HTN and other related associations.
Dr.Bibek Pradhan was in Ktm about a year back and he looks deceivingly young. He had a presentation in a Rotary club in ktm,I happened to be there that time and here is his plan(please correct me if someone has a better idea about it,specially people from NDA)
He plans to revamp the Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital. He talked with some organisations in UK and they are providing the necessary equipments,so he was in Ktm to collect fund to build the building. He had a very good plan for it.He would collect 2 lakhs from 200 interested donors in memory of their late guardians. There would be a memorial hall and that would have space for those 200 donors to write about their Guardians/Put photos in whose memory they donated the money. They would have an annual meeting of the donors in the hall too.His presentation was so good that 3 people just raised their hands from the audience and said they want to be a part of it.I dont know where his project is right now but it sure is a noble work. And gives further proof to the fact that, whereever u are, whatever u do,whatever ur age is,its never too late to work for your Nation. As i always say
