The researchers conclusion conclusion was that the treatment with beta carotene, vitamin A, and vitamin E may increase mortality, while the potential roles of vitamin C and selenium on mortality still need further investigations.
I was going through the Health News in the xenoMED and amazed to learn that vitamins can kill you, here are those news
yes, vitamins can kill you if in excess, as in anything else in excess. And there are also people who have allergies, so if even not in excess can at least make a person ill. Hello!
vitamins in excess must be harmful like any other drugs or things...... but in thereupeutic doses the benefits must far outweigh the adverse effects....!
My friend I believe that any overdose of anything may have an effect on your body, so just take the recomended amount. i heard that if you overdose on calcium, your stomach produces something similar to teeth. so in other words, you have teeth in your stomach.
Um - I've heard of calcium deposits, but not actual calcium teeth. Could that possibly be an urban legend?
Vitamins ARE good and people and animals need them. However it is the "excess" that causes harm. Also, some people metabolize vitamins and minerals at different speeds. Some people have a hard time metabolizing them at all. Habits such as smoking diminish the vitamins in one's system. If a person is concerned about their vitamin intake, they should consult their doctor.
