New Nepal: The Aftermath - 23-04-2006, 10:44 AM

With the newly appointed democracy refused by the people of Nepal and the politicians, it seems the king may be thrown off his throne.

How do we forsee Nepal without the monarchy?? Who do we think is likely to appointed president of nepal? Will it be like the appointment of the prime ministers which changed every six months? Is nepal going to like Pakistan whereby the army general will take control of the country...is the current Pakistani state the future of Nepal? Is Nepal really to benefit from a Kingless country??!!

Well, removing teh king from the throne is not an easy task. That too this one is a tough guy. He has proved to be. he won't easily give up the power. I am sure, many are going to die and about the king being thrown off the throne, i am still in doubt.

well good topic
if the king acts like he is acting right now, the solution is only maoist and the country shall be Republic.
if he acts with the time he might still remain king but powerless. well in my feeling he doesnot like to lose the power unless some strong force like international or maoist force him.
Best alternative to him right now is sambidhan shabha ko chunab...
if he calls for the sambidhan shabha's election after reconstructing the dissolved parliament, people might keep place for the Monarchy which is of 230 years long; else he had to run away.

It is posible that the situation may be like pakistan as the Army is totally with the king. But remember that the army has weaken and concentrated to valley only. India and US, the big gun donors have not given any equipments in recent past so there is heavy chances of maoist winning the battel..

so nothing is that certain until king gives another speech or time passes

rajeeb...i don't know how, just tried. it doesn't matter anyhow.

Anyway, do we think we should have a country without a King? i personally think the country will head towards the pits if the King is removed.

Can we have a country run by maoists? how many of you agree with the communist views of the maoist??

well Nepal without a King sounds so weird. people forget that Nepal was because of Prithivi Naryan Shah who united all small place to make one big country...

well present King is tough. Dont think he will give up easily. The main thing right now i feel is not the king or the & party but maoist.. so like they have to bring maoist too in politics.

Dear DD and parnoid ..
So what do u think the people are going for now ...Because the king is ready to restore Democracy but the political parties have rejected it ...
Its realy confusing for me ...
1. If we needed the multi party democracy then the king is ready for it then why the protest is going on ???
2. If the politicians will agree for the multi party democracy then the maoist problem of our country will remail as it was before ..so what will be the change ??
3. If the king is gone then who will run the country???? Maoist......I cant even think for that...
4. If Republic of Nepal , then who will be the president and how he will be selected and will he be changes every year or every month like our priministed used to be ...It wont solve the problem it will ce=reate mopre problem I guess ..
5. Or the Army chief should rule the king like in Pakistan...But it wont make any change to the situation either ...

So what you guys think.....Who shud rule our country so that the situation will improve....
Fo me ..I am very much confused ????????
