Now is the time to reshape Nepal.
the pro democracy movement is going on and the king about to give a speech.
if nepal is a clean slate, what do you as a citizen want to write on that slate?
please write down your lists...so that possibly we can make them come into reality, one fine day.

1. peace
2. implement a health strategy that we provide optimum care to all.
3. accessible/sustainable education with emphasis on zones of need
4. promote women's right - on education, reproductive, commodity and citizenship.
5. on a more subjective note, rejuvate a "can do" attitude and optimism among the young.
6. promote equal opportunity
[nb::: idealism is an addiction but sure is a good one].

I think it's high time we think about participatory (proportionate) form of democracy,of course ganatantra, rather than Westminister model majority's rule coz it ensures equity in addition to equality and opportunity to progress in addition to freedom. It'd suit the need of the land and of the time.
Above all the rule of law established after the abolition of filthy monarchy is the basic infracture to reach that goal

granted that basic infrastructure is the most essential, who is capable enough to lead the country? all these SPA members and heads are just that: jun jogi aaye pani kanai chireko...
how many times have they promsied us the world without bringing anything really to fruition? way too many times...
need a younger, smarter and pragmatic leader..so far none comes to mind.. Living, really living, is an exciting, chancy business. | | xenoMED Advisor | | Posts: 667 Thanks: 0

Its realy confusing for me ...
1. If we needed the multi party democracy then the king is ready for it then why the protest is going on ???
2. If the politicians will agree for the multi party democracy then the maoist problem of our country will remail as it was before ..so what will be the change ??
3. If the king is gone then who will run the country???? Maoist. .....I cant even think for that...
4. If Republic of Nepal , then who will be the president and how he will be selected and will he be changes every year or every month like our priministed used to be ...It wont solve the problem it will create more problem I guess ..
5. Or the Army chief should rule the king like in Pakistan...But it wont make any change to the situation either ...
So what you guys think.....Who shud rule our country so that the situation will improve....
Fo me ..I am very much confused ????????
First we have to find the promising leaders who can lead our country from front, Who can make political stability in our country then we can think about other things ........... | | Senior Member | | Posts: 1,380 Thanks: 106
