रानीपोखरीमा ट्यांकरका ट्यांकर पानी खन्याइयो

गर्मी सुरुसँगै जलसतह घटेर माछा मर्न थालेपछि बौद्ध समुदायका महिलाले ट्यांकरका ट्यांकर पानी किनेर शनिबार (चैत १७ -२०६२) रानीपोखरीमा हालेका छन् । रानीपोखरीको जलस्तर करिब डेढ मिटर घटेको छ ।

गत वर्षभन्दा यसपटक पानी धेरै कम भएको स्थानीयवासी बताउँछन् । गर्मी सुरुसँगै रत्नपार्कस्थित रानीपोखरीमा पानीको सतह घट्छ ।

खडेरीले माछा मर्न थाले पनि संरक्षण जिम्मेवारी बोकेको महानगरपालिका भने दैनिक दुई ट्यांकर पानी खसालेर औपचारिकतामात्र पूरा गर्ने गरेको छ । बौद्घका महिलाले १७ ट्यांकर पानी किनेर खन्याएका हुन् । हरेक वर्ष चाडपर्वमा आफूले छाडेका माछाका भुरा र पक्षीले खडेरीले ज्यान नगुमाऊन् भनेर पानी हालेको यी बौद्ध धर्मावलम्बीहरूले बताए । ‘मान्छेले गर्मीमा जहाँबाट भए पनि पानी खान्छ, माछाले के गर्ने ?’ छोदेन लामाले भनिन् ।



रानीपोखरीका जलचर बचाउन २० जति महिलाले रकम जुटाई पानी हाल्न थालेको उनले बताइन् । दुई दिनमा ७० ट्यांकर पानी हाल्ने उनीहरूको लक्ष्य छ । त्यसका लागि करिब ७० हजार खर्च लाग्ने तेन्चिन लामाले बताइन् । ‘सुकिलो लुगामा समाज सेवाको भाषण दिने र डलरको खेती गर्नेलाई यी सामान्य महिलाले गरेको कामले पक्कै लाज लाग्ला,’ बालाजुका कृष्ण चौलागाईंले भने ।

त्यस क्षेत्रमा अधिकांशले ३५ फिट जमिनमुनिबाट पानी तान्ने गरेकाले सुख्खायाममा घटेको उनीहरूको दाबी छ । घरैपिच्छै बोरिङले गर्दा भूमिगत जलस्तरमा कमी आएकाले पोखरी गत वर्षभन्दा सुकेको हो । महानगरपालिकाले मेला र महोत्सवका नाउँमा रानीपोखरी भाडामा दिन थालेपछि प्रदूषणका कारण पनि समस्या आएको उनीहरू बताउँछन् । उनीहरूले रानीपोखरी क्षेत्रलाई प्रदूषणमुक्त क्षेत्र घोषणा गरिनुपर्ने माग राखेका छन् ।

करिब ६२ रोपनी क्षेत्रफल रहेको रानी पोखरी प्रताप मल्लले वि.स.१७२७ मा निर्माण गरेका हुन । सबै तीर्थको जल मिसाइएको यस पोखरीको चारै कुनामा गणेश भैरव महालक्ष्मी र दुर्गा तथा बीचमा शिवालय बनाइएको छ ।

HOW TO INSTALL
--------------------------

1. Download the nepfont.exe or the selected .zip file to a temporary directory.

2. Extract the font files by clicking on the downloaded file.

3. Click on the start icon at the bottom-left corner of your task bar.

4. Then go to settings and select the control panel.

5. In control panel, click on the Fonts folder.

6. Then select Files and then Add new fonts from the drop-down menu.

7. Select the folder where you extracted your font files.

8. Select the font to be installed (or you can select all) and click OK.

9. You are now ready to roll!


If you have problems using the short and long U characters (on keyboard ' and "):

a) In MS Word, you need to turn off "smart quotes".

b) To do this, go to Tools and then to Autocorrect.

c) You will see a window with four tabs. Click on the second tab that says "AutoFormat As You Type".

d) Under "Replace as you type", uncheck the box that says "Straight quotes" with "smart quotes".

e) Press OK and you are ready to roll!!
