freinds help me with information on telemedicine in nepal
i could not find enough websites with the present state and future direction of telemedicine in nepal, so if your hospital or college is engaged in any such project ,please share the info with me in this forum... it is for a small research so as to assess the present condition and future prospects of the field for the better of our society.
lots of medical students from nepal are members of xenomed , if you can share whether you hospital has any plans or not on implementing telemedicne facilities...
•few info that i could get from internet :
Nepal lags behind china and other developed nations in terms of telemedicine.
•Only few hospitals throughout nepal have recently started telemedicien facility, which includes:
1.BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan and Ramrittha of Leguwa VDC in Dhankuta district.
2. Om Hospital & Research Centre Pvt. Ltd.
3. Email consultations between patan hospital, kathmandu and specialist througout the world.
•some other Pilot projects on telemedicine by NGOs and INGOs 1.linking Bhaktapur (Central region).
