political awareness in medicalstudents - 05-03-2006, 09:14 AM

I m really bored by seeing study things in xenomed.
whats ur opinion about knowing the current situation of country or getting involved in current hot political situation of country.
how r u people looking at the steps taken by king ,political parties&maoists.
parties r showing very clumsy movement toward breakthru, isnt it?
do u think king is ever serious about us?

I m expecting for solid step toward establishment of democracy.
what about u?

i agree with u bajiya
we shud be knowing abt the political situation of the country coz in no way one is out of its impact

we shud know that ourmoney is being spent for guns and luxery cars, we r losing oppertunities coz our country is incapable of bringing/creating them,
nd most of all we the people of post modern era shud be free to think nd express ourselves
getting involvedcan be donein many ways: not necessary that u pelt stones at the police , u can make intellectual contribution from ur place
for some one like bajiya who is well aware of the situation the best way to start is by making people in his surrounding circle as aware as he is, establishing a thought in one mind cud be more powerful than hitting with stones
i think medical students in general have apathy towards politics as is the case with sarensa here
but just wishing for democracy is not enough u ve got to make it happen

one shud realize that establishment of political system nd concept of state or country is one of the fundamental achievement in the history of mankind which has guided further civilisation
hence without politics nothing good can be expected
yes politics is a bad game but its coz of bad players. politics in itself is probably the finest practice ever made

we r in a state of transition
nd i prefer it to happen in as much peaceful manner as possible

mr. bajiya
i personally condemn the current state of violence nd counter violence

thanx for starting nice talk bajia
POLITICS IS NOT A DIRTY GAME, BUT IT IS MADE DIRTY
one should be aware of the situation one is in
coz' we r responsible citizen of our connunity
nd politics is the one field that will affect all other field
like in the health sector also the success of all program begin with political commetment
in my opinion BEFORE BEING A DOCTOR WE ARE RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF NEPAL. so we have equal rights and responsibilities towards the nation.

and i personally donot like the habit of our friend like sarena saying i lov democracy but hate politics.we can do the things like making people around us aware of the things as correctly said by bishnu.

in my opinion the power should come to people's hand nd the best way out is thro the parties-maoists aggrement as king is not listening to anyone except his BHARAUTE.
NO MORE BHAJAN MANDELE PLZ'.

politics is ment to be dirty game. Its animal nature to fight for survival.Human mind with each development process as turned simple game of survival into dirty game of politcs.i think politics is basic human nature. One good at it goes to top or else suffer.good or bad politcs depend upon which side r u on.
for one to, thrive other have to fall.

Still for those of you who think it as dirty game I have a quote for you from a hindi movie (to clean a 'nala' you have to enter it ,it won't be clean by standing outside & shouting at the sky)

i agree. i sure am not politically aware of the happenings of nepal, i mean i know the general ins and outs but my background knowledge is so vague that it makes it difficulty for me to understand why it's all happening.

may be we need a crash course as to the policies and aims of the different political parties of nepal and that way we'd understand all the contradictions and aftermath of political disputes.
