Entrance gate
A man-made dead sea is situated in Daying County, southwest China's "Sichuan Province",which is 97 kilometers from the province's capital of Chengdu. Outdoor Dead Sea
The Dead Sea of China in Daying was opened to the world on 1st May 2004.From then tourists are able to experience floating on sea surface, to enjoy water recreations and receive health care. The first landscape had been constructed at the foot of a hill and beside a stream. It occupied about 2,000 Chinese acres. The total plan used 5,000 Chinese acres. Indoor Dead sea
150 million years ago, the plate movement separated the land and turned vast seas into farming land. Severe plate movements created two inland lakes at latitude 30 degrees north. The one on the surface is called the "Dead Sea" in the Middle East (between Israel & Jordan) ; the other one, called Chinese "dead sea", is a huge underground salt lake formed in Sichuan's Daying County which contain 4.2 billion tons of seawater. Both lakes are at the same latitude, same altitude, even the structures of their water molecule is the same. People can float on the surface of the dead seas without striking a blow because seawater there contains minerals and salt that are 9 times higher than ordinary seawater. Hot Spring
The bittern water which is extracted from 3,000 metres under the ground can maintain an outside temperature of 40 degrees Celsius all year round, after the natural cooling and desulphurization process. This creates a unique Dead Sea hot spring in the world. This means that you can soak in a hot spring at any time. The indoor complex shelters everyone from the winter cold. If you are sensitive to heat, there is also cooling sea water available too in the man-made beach with automated waves. Another feature is the big 100kg wooden barrel. When a person stands underneath, the bucket pours over him or her. You get the excitement of an instant massage as the hot spring water drenches you. BIG WOODEN BARREL
Guests have 24 hour access to the water activities. However, there are other forms of entertainment available. These include western-style stage performances, such as dancing, singing, juggling, acrobatics & fire-eating. The new "Arabic Nights" dancing performance usually starts around 8pm.Salt treatment care, sports, body massages are also available.
There are various levels of accommodation available."Sun City" five-star standard resort, the three-star standard "Dead Sea Illusion City Hotel", & the "YMCA International Youth Hostel", which offered bunk-style dormitories. Dead Sea Illusion City Hotel
